Into the book
There is a day of judgment set from the beginning of the world (Acts 17:31).
That day is not a day of new revelation of truth, but a day when everything will be evaluated by the words that have already been revealed.
His word, which we know now, will judge us on the last day.
It is eternal and also the final version.
There are no exceptions, changes or revisions.
Wouldn't it be beneficial for us to understand His words and live by them, rather than just passing them by?
The judgment that will take place on that day is said to be eternal (Hebrews 6:2).
The decision we make that day will be based on how we align our lives with His eternal Word, which will determine how we will spend the rest of eternity.
That decision can never be changed.
So it is an eternal judgment.
I don't know how many people, both believers and non-believers, are unknowingly rushing to the appointed judgment without even looking into it.
They place their hopes on concepts that are not found in the Bible.
Some people think that God will take into account all their good deeds and that if their good deeds outweigh their bad deeds, they will receive favor.
Some people who profess to be born again think that because Jesus is their Savior, they do not stand before Him as their judge.
They believe they will be exempt from all forms of judgment.
They will be the most surprised on that day, more than anyone else.
On the other hand, there are people who think that everything will be fine.
It is relying on unbiblical mercy.
--- p.29
The problem is that the lines are blurred.
Consider, for example, a person who professes to have been born again, speaks the language of true believers, associates with godly people, and enjoys attending believer gatherings, yet his character remains unchanged and he continues to live self-centeredly.
This person is a charlatan without even knowing it.
But the problem arises from the fact that his self-deception spreads like a disease.
On the other hand, there are those who base their lives on the “norms” of Christian culture, but these “norms” do not align with the way of life in heaven, making it difficult for them to become true believers.
--- p.132
Grace has been given to us through knowing Jesus Christ.
Grace is His miraculous power to give us everything we need to live godly lives.
That godly lifestyle is living according to the nature of God.
So we are redeemed from the corruption that came into the world through Adam.
The corruption continued to worsen because of human desires that went against God.
Let no one, by word or deed, prevent you from living out the divine nature that is within you.
--- p.139
Selfishness asked back.
“What do you mean? You were a great citizen of Endel.
You ran a top-notch restaurant and supported many community events.
At fundraising events, it was common to provide financial support and free meals.
“Didn’t you even sacrifice your evening business to do something like that?”
Ja-jok shook his head.
“I did those things because I wanted to be recognized and accepted by people.
I also knew that doing so would attract more customers.
Actually, I just wanted to be successful.
There was not even a hint of blessing.
I should have listened to Jalen.
He said to us, 'When you give a luncheon or a dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers, your relatives, or your rich neighbors, so that they do not invite you in return, and you will be repaid. But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind. And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the just' (Luke 14:12-14).
The free dinners I gave away were for my own benefit, not the community.
“I wanted to fit in with the powerful people of Endel.”
Selfishness dug deeper.
“But you donated to Endel School often.
“Isn’t that what catches Jalen’s eye?”
Self-sufficiency was returned.
“It is true that I donated to the Endel School, but it was not proportional to the success of my business.
In fact, the ratio was very low.
I was afraid that I might go bankrupt, so I saved most of my restaurant profits.
On top of that, there was also the desire to ‘live well’.
My real intention was to protect myself.
I gave a little because it put my conscience at ease.
I couldn't help it because other teachers kept mentioning how important it was to give to this country and the poor.
“In the end, I gave not out of compassion and love, but out of guilt and compulsion.”
--- p.206-207
Jalyn then showed how true love served Him so greatly by serving His people and obeying His laws.
It was a time to look back on her life, including every word, action, thought, and motivation of her heart.
Everything is revealed.
Her service, her donations to the school, her love for her fellow citizens, her refusal to engage in careless or inappropriate activism and debate, the persecution she endured because of her zeal for Jalyn, her toil in serving others through her restaurant, her reaching out to lost souls, the hours she lamented and wept for the lost, her unwavering commitment to Jalyn's path, her exclusion from social gatherings because of her zeal for Jalyn, her refusal to slander or engage in gossip about her fellow citizens—the list goes on and on.
True Love was amazed at all the ways in which he had influenced and inspired others.
What she did for Jalen's glory was not consciously planned or premeditated.
She was simply diligently following the way of life she had learned from ancient texts.
Some of the things she did were burned down.
True Love felt great sadness and regret for the mistakes he had made and the opportunities he had missed.
But what he lost in his life's toil was only a small part.
--- p.227
Essentially, the reason we exist here on earth is to build His glorious temple or house.
Whether it be saving others, teaching, serving, ministering, or anything else like that.
Our role is to become pure living stones and build others up so that the living stones fit together to complete God's glorious house.
So we face both personal responsibility and responsibility for the kingdom of God.
--- p.280
My calling and gift are in the form of a seed.
If I plant myself in the church, I will fulfill the destiny God has given me.
Otherwise, I might end up using the gifts in my life for purposes other than those intended by the Creator.
So don't be fooled by the world's standards of success.
You may be very successful with your gifts, but you may not be doing it in obedience to the Lord's plan.
… … … Just as a person can discern the gifts he has and use them in the best way he can, but cannot know the exact type, shape, form, and strength of a tree if it remains only in the form of a seed, so too can a person never know his true destiny given by God unless he is planted in the church.
This is not man's design, but God's design.
--- p.306-307
Don't be fooled by the results.
We can achieve great things and still rebel against God's authority.
Think of Moses.
The Lord commanded him to speak to the rock and water would miraculously come out.
But Moses disobeyed and struck the rock in anger.
Still, the water came out.
There was enough water in the wilderness to feed three million people.
The people probably exchanged words like this while drinking water.
“Wow, God really listens to Moses.
“What great power!”
But after everyone had finished drinking the water, God called Moses aside and told him that because he had disobeyed, he would not be allowed to enter the Promised Land.
Moses had success.
That was also a miraculous achievement.
But the measure of success is not performance, but obedience.
The root of godly wisdom lies in the fear of the Lord, which means placing God's will above anything or anyone else.
Those who fear God submit completely to His authority.
--- p.330
The seeds eventually multiply, but each seed itself looks insignificant.
Never take the guidance of the Holy Spirit for granted.
We must not ignore the Holy Spirit.
The most trivial things He led me to do later became the most important multiplying factors in my life.
God wants you to multiply.
He also wants to give you a reward that is worthy of that ship.
There's so much at stake.
We cannot take lightly the time entrusted to us on this earth.
People's eternal destiny depends on whether we obey God's plan.
It is His will that all people be saved and conformed to the image of Jesus.
He doesn't want anyone to be left behind.

How I lived today
What if I decide my eternal life?
Where would you like to spend "eternity"? John Bevere portrays the lives and judgments of five characters—"Independence, Delusion, Cowardice, Selfishness, and True Love"—sent from "Appabel," symbolizing the Kingdom of God, to "Endell," symbolizing this earth. By doing so, he helps readers understand the Christian concepts of salvation and reward.
Our lives, which are not bothered by the loss of the power of piety, must change.
On that last day, the great voyage to enter the Kingdom of God with joy begins!
A life built with useless toil,
Rebuild before it collapses in vain!
Laying the right foundation for eternal judgment makes life on earth healthy.
Having an eternal perspective allows you to make better decisions, focus on what you need to focus on, and live a different life.
The way we live our lives and our daily priorities change.
John Bevere strongly urges us to seize the day that passes by meaninglessly.
Ask Him for His will every day, and seek His grace every moment to obey His Word.
With holy fear, decide how you will use the talents entrusted to you.
Above all, before it is too late, spread the gospel of salvation with all your might to souls without faith!
