Among the 43 U.S. presidents, the presidents who are generally ranked from 1st to 10th
10 people selected!

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the founding of the 'Korean-American History Association', an association of people who study and teach American history, and the 200th anniversary of the birth of the great President Abraham Lincoln. To mark this, several professors and researchers, including Professor Lee Bo-hyung, a pioneer in American history in Korea, gathered together the opinion that the Korean-American History Association should do something to commemorate the year 2010.
Accordingly, the society selected the 43 U.S. presidents who are generally ranked from 1st to 10th: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, and John F.
Kennedy, Ronald Reagan, and a total of 10 people were selected to publish a book.


Who will study the 10 selected presidents?
The society first received applications for writing from researchers studying American history in Korea and selected authors based on the applicants' research papers, books, columns, and interests.
Washington - Professor Kim Hyung-gon (Konyang University), Jefferson - Academic Advisor Professor Jeong Kyung-hee (Yonsei University), Jackson - Professor Yang Hong-seok (Dongguk University), Lincoln - Professor Yang Jae-yeol (Yeungnam University), Theodore Roosevelt - Professor Choi Jeong-soo (Korea University), Wilson - Professor Kwon Oh-shin (Kangwon National University), Franklin Roosevelt - Professor Kim Jin-hee (Kyunghee Cyber ​​University), Truman - Professor Kim Jeong-bae (Silla University), Kennedy - Professor Jang Jun-gap (Chonbuk National University), Reagan - Professor Kim Nam-gyun (Pyeongtaek University).


The authors aimed to avoid writing a specialized research paper, but at the same time, to be professional and popular without being overly popular.
We have made the book accessible to many people by using easier terms and sentences to avoid using difficult terms and concepts.
Although each researcher has his or her own research framework, as this is a presidential series, we tried to maintain a consistent research framework as much as possible.
We decided to use the historical status of the president, his upbringing, his achievements before becoming president, his achievements as president, and his leadership and evaluation as the core framework.
