Illustrator Peter Brown says he was inspired by a variety of classic thriller films and television shows before creating "Creepy Carrots!", including [The Twilight Zone (CBS Television)], [Creature from the Black Lagoon (Universal Pictures)], [The Day the Earth Stood Still (20th Century Fox)], [Dracula (Universal Pictures)], [Footlight Parade (Warner Bros)], [Gold Diggers of 1933 (Warner Bros)], and [42nd Street (Warner Bros)].
『Creepy Carrot!』 brings out the feeling of horror by coloring only in orange on black and white tones within a black frame reminiscent of a television (which is also a color reminiscent of Halloween!), and the cartoon-like direction that freely varies the frame creates a unique picture book.
The characters' vivid expressions, which convey an eerie atmosphere and tension, are also must-see points! To create the current main characters, the rabbit and carrot, Peter Brown repeatedly erased and drew countless drawings.
