Korea's first restaurant guide, 『Blue Ribbon Survey』, presents the 2025 edition of 『Gourmet Restaurants Across the Country』 this year.
Published since 2007, "Blue Ribbon Survey: Best Restaurants Nationwide" celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, introducing high-quality restaurants by region across the country, excluding Seoul, based on the reviews of over 30,000 readers each year.
Seoul's Best Restaurants is published separately in the second half of each year, and celebrated its 20th anniversary last year.
The number of restaurants included in the 2025 edition was 3,782, a decrease of 5 from 3,787 in 2024.
This year in particular, two restaurants, Palette in Busan and White Christmas in Cheongju, were selected as Three Ribbon Restaurants, marking the first time in seven years that a restaurant outside of Seoul has received the award.
There are 140 two-ribbon restaurants, the same as in the 2024 edition, and 1,526 one-ribbon restaurants, an increase of 122 from the 2024 edition.
In Part 1, you can find the best restaurants in the country that received three ribbons and recommended restaurants that received two ribbons. In Part 2, you can easily find the restaurants you want by region and alphabetically.
[Blue Ribbon Restaurant Certification Stickers] are distributed to establishments included in the booklet 『Tastes of the Nation』.
The 2025 edition of 『National Gourmet』 was selected based on a new evaluation method introduced in 2019.
Previously, three ribbon restaurants were selected through evaluations by the Blue Ribbon Knights, a panel of expert judges, among the two ribbon restaurants selected through the readers' first evaluation, but starting with the 2019 edition, the evaluations will be based solely on readers' evaluations instead of expert evaluations.
This is because the accumulated reader evaluations since 2005 have begun to converge year after year toward the same results as the expert evaluation panel.
