Blue Ribbon Survey Seoul's Best Restaurants 2026
Description
Book Introduction
The Blue Ribbon Survey, published since 2005, is now in its 21st year.
Blue Ribbon Survey, which celebrated its 20th anniversary last year, had over 70,000 readers participate in restaurant evaluations this year, and a total of 43 restaurants received three ribbons, making them the best restaurants in Seoul.
This year, six new restaurants were named as Three Ribbon Restaurants.
Kagen, which presents modern kaiseki, Mosu Seoul by Chef Ahn Sung-jae who has returned, Sosuheon by Chef Park Kyung-jae who presents the best sushi, Soul Dining by Chef couple Yoon Dae-hyun and Kim Hee-eun who serve modern Korean food, Sushihane by Chef Choi Soo-yong who is a high-end sushi restaurant, and Hobin by Chef Hu Deok-juk who created the history of the best Chinese food in Seoul were selected as the best restaurants.

In addition, Kang Min-cheol's Restaurant, Goryoriken, Kwon Sook-soo, Nakwon, Dining Ma, The Green Table, Dorim, Dowon, La Mansikre, La Mitié, Lespoir, Myeongwolgwan, Muoki, Mito, Mifia Che, Mingles, Byeokje Galbi The Cheongdam, Bon & Bread, Bongnaeheon, Beast Road Yountville, Samwon Garden, Seven's Door, Solbam, Sushi Jo, Swaniye, Ariake, Alla Prima, Onjium Restaurant, Itanic Garden, Jeongsikdang, Zero Complex, Choi Dot, Continental, Table Popo, Passione, Palsun, and Hongbogak were consistently selected as the best restaurants in Seoul.
The 2026 edition also features notable new restaurants across a variety of genres.
Ten restaurants that created buzz upon opening over the past year have been selected as noteworthy new restaurants.
Kiwagang, Little & Much, Mukjeong Seoul, Bium, Smith & Wollensky, Sushi Gokin, Chilheuk, Patisserie Much, Hakushi, and Hinotsuki were named as notable new restaurants.

The total number of restaurants included in the 2026 edition of "Blue Ribbon Survey: Seoul's Best Restaurants" is 1,560, a decrease of 6 compared to the 2025 edition.
There were 43 places that received three ribbons, an increase of two compared to the 2025 edition.
The number of restaurants with two ribbons decreased by 20 to 301, and the number of restaurants with one ribbon decreased by 33 to 663 from 696.
Since its first evaluation in 2005, "Blue Ribbon Survey: Seoul's Best Restaurants" has been the first in Korea to incorporate a multitude of opinions, providing results that resonate with the majority based on objective data.
The evaluation is conducted through the company's own website (www.blueR.co.kr) with the participation of the general public, and the results of this evaluation are displayed as the number of ribbons rather than scores.
Starting with the 2019 edition, the final evaluation by the expert panel has been eliminated and will be based solely on reader evaluations.

Meanwhile, 『Blue Ribbon Survey』 successfully held “Blue Ribbon Week 2025” last September with the theme “The Starting Point of Seoul Gastronomy.”
This event presented a special dining course with first-generation owner-chefs who have led the Seoul culinary scene, providing a differentiated culinary experience for food lovers.
Blue Ribbon Week 2025 was sponsored by Secret Boutique, Kabiari, Staub, and Catch Table, enhancing the event's prestige.

About [Blue Ribbon Survey]

Korea's first restaurant review book

In any international metropolis, there's a world-class food guidebook showcasing the city's culinary offerings.
[Blue Ribbon Survey] is Korea's first and best restaurant review book, on par with these guidebooks.
Although South Korea boasts a unique food culture with a long history spanning half a millennium, the history of restaurants is relatively short.
Blue Ribbon Survey, which began when the foundation for professional food reviews was weak and standards for evaluating taste were still vague, has established objective restaurant evaluation standards in Korea based on evaluations accumulated over 20 years.
Blue Ribbon Survey is the first in Korea to adopt a survey method that gathers multiple opinions, thereby collecting more objective data.
Many readers participate in evaluation surveys conducted through our own website.
Blue Ribbon Survey has been leading the way in fostering a culinary culture where people can communicate and enjoy together based on reliable culinary information, and will continue to elevate the level of culinary culture in Korea.
Detailed information on how to participate in the Blue Ribbon Survey can be found at www.blueR.co.kr.

Blue Ribbon Survey operates a mobile site and app that allows readers to participate in surveys.
When you access the mobile site, you can search all the restaurants included in the Blue Ribbon Survey booklet (including Seoul and nationwide editions) and rate the restaurants you have visited.
The mobile site allows you to search for nearby restaurants and perform advanced searches, making it more convenient than searching for restaurants in a book.
Additionally, the booklet allows you to search for over 23,000 restaurants, including those that were not yet selected.
Each year, when a new Blue Ribbon Survey is released, reader reviews made on the mobile site are reflected, and readers who participate in the evaluation are given a copy of the newly released book as a gift.
