The production team's three special trips, a tour of Japan's three major udon restaurants and Ainu Mosiri in Hokkaido, as well as the film's background travel destinations, will also excite viewers.

Into the book
As we went up the valley, we came across an old rice cake shop.
Founded in 1878, this store started out selling rope and has been in business for well over 130 years.
The taste of the rice cakes is also excellent, so many tourists come to visit.
If you order from the bottom of the valley, the dumplings will be delivered by rope, so they are also called flying dumplings.
There is a cup of green tea with rice cakes in a shaking basket.
I was worried that the green tea would spill during delivery.
I was curious as to why the dumplings were being transported on a rope, so I asked the owner.
He laughs and answers that he is honestly curious about the reason, as it is a family business that has been passed down since his great-grandfather and he is following the tradition.

I arrived at Nakamura Udon Restaurant, which I really wanted to visit on this trip.
This is the only udon restaurant that novelist Haruki Murakami listed as a place he would like to visit again in his udon pilgrimage.
Haruki Murakami cited the soft yet chewy noodles as the defining characteristic of Nakamura Udon.
Perhaps because of the salt, the jelly-like soft texture and the noodles that don't break are excellent.
The chewiness of Sanuki udon is not a hard chewiness, but rather a springy chewiness that you will never forget once you try it.
---From "A Taste-Driven Journey Through Japan's Three Great Udon Places"

Kyushu Olle is a sibling trail to Jeju Olle.
Since the first Kyushu Olle course opened in 2012 through a business agreement with Jeju Olle, 15 courses have been created to date.
The road presents a variety of scenery of the Kyushu region.
You can experience the simple lifestyle of Kyushu people and enjoy a lively autumn festival.
---From "Walking the Kyushu Olle"

Hoshiryokan, which opened in 718, has never moved and has remained in the same location ever since.
Mr. Hoshi Zengoro, who has been running the inn for 46 generations, still personally takes out the shoes of his guests and greets them when they leave.
The unwavering spirit that has persisted for 46 generations and 1,300 years is what has made Hoshiryokan what it is today.
Meeting a guest only happens once in a lifetime, so I do my best.
