Publisher's Review
The fifth volume of the travelogue, 'Praising Geumgang Again', is a travelogue of Geumgangsan written after visiting only one place: Geumgangsan.
Since ancient times, Geumgangsan has been praised as something that cannot be fully described in words or captured in paintings.
But even the Diamond Mountains of the world can be seen only to the extent that one knows them.
This book illuminates the history, culture, and art of Geumgangsan, and by broadening the humanities of Geumgangsan, it serves as a bright guide for exploring the magnificent Geumgangsan Mountain.
The author climbed Mount Geumgang five times on the Hyundai Geumgangho to write this book, and vividly conveys the beauty of Mount Geumgang, which changes with the seasons.

In Part 1, ‘Introduction to Geumgangsan,’ we examine the meaning of Geumgangsan through the paintings and writings of famous painters and writers of the time.
The first voyage of the Hyundai Geumgangho also conveys the sorrow of the displaced people who joined the exploration of Geumgangsan and the joy of meeting fellow North Koreans.
Part 2, 'Outer Geumgang', guides you through the Outer Geumgang and Haegeumgang tours of Geumgangsan Mountain.
The beautiful Changteo Pine Forest with its lush pine trees, Sangpal Dam with the legend of the "Lumberjack and the Fairy," Guryong Falls famous for paintings by many artists including Kim Hong-do, Manmulsang, a remote area of Geumgangsan that was difficult for people in the past to climb, and Samilpo, where four Hwarangs are said to have played for three days, unfold before your eyes.
Part 3 contains images of 'Naegeumgang', an area not open to the public (the author is the first South Korean to have visited it since the division).
Manbokdong and Naepaldam, which are considered the most spectacular sights of Naegumgang, Bodeokgul Cave, which stands on a single pole on a thousand-foot cliff, and Myogilsang Rock Buddha, the largest rock carving in the East, are depicted with overwhelming emotion.
At the end of the book, for readers who wish to understand Geumgangsan more deeply, an appendix entitled “The History and Cultural Heritage of Geumgangsan” is included.
This book, which praises Geumgangsan with utmost sincerity and courtesy, provides an opportunity to heighten pride and love for our country through Geumgangsan.
