“I have lived in Seoul for many years,
“Is your dream still the same?”

Na-young, who has forgotten her dream of becoming a writer due to the harsh life in Seoul, and Solongo, a foreign worker who is at risk of being kicked out of his home because he is not receiving his salary.
In "Laundry," which revolves around these two people, the question, "How long have you lived in Seoul?" is placed at the beginning and end of the script, as well as the song.
In response to the question, “How long have you lived in Seoul?” that marks the beginning of the work, a couple who have lived in Seoul for 10 years laments the loss of their savings account and their marital gold, while a working woman who has been working for 6 years laments the loss of things like “menstrual leave, childcare leave, and things like that.”
Their last song, "How Long Have You Been Living in Seoul? - Reprise," contains the words they learned from their loved ones, "Thank you, take care, see you again," and the dreams they have kept intact during the "time they wandered around looking for a room to be engraved."
'Reprise' is a song that has previously appeared and is sung again, modified to fit the situation in the play.
After the curtain rises, flipping through the pages to compare the lyrics is a complete experience that can only be had in a script book, something you can't experience at a concert hall.
Our daily lives are like laundry that sways and falls, but he hopes that stains will be erased, dust will be brushed off, and our sorrows and wounds will be washed away as we dry them in the sun.
This work, written from the beginning as a musical script, was written with the hope that any hardship, if expressed through song, could bring a little smile to our faces. Sometimes it is as refreshing as cold water, and sometimes it is as warm as hot water, and it removes the old grime from our hearts.

The autumn sunlight is dazzling,
I am wearing a clean and dry and happy me.

A sky blue cover resembling a clear, cloudless sky.
A cozy blanket was placed over me, offering warm comfort on a day when the laundry seemed like it would dry nicely.
The script begins with the writer, but lines are sometimes improvised on the spot by actors during the performance.
Just as 10 actors and 40 staff members are needed for one performance, the names of 30 colleagues were included on the back cover of the book to commemorate the 20 years of support that “Laundry” has received.
Even after 20 years, the problems of high rents, complicated relationships, and unfair labor practices remain.
Because each and every line of 『Laundry』's dialogue about these issues is still relevant, because we still need the "hello" we say to each other, each carrying their own laundry.
From its premiere until now, the historical background of Laundry has always been set in the present, and that present has always been our story.
“Dry your wet heart on the clothesline, the wind will dry us.
“Wash out your aching heart and let it dry, we will help you.”
