Description
Book Introduction
It is an independent literary magazine founded in early summer of 2017.
It consists of manuscripts requested regardless of whether or not they have made their debut, works selected through public contests, and writings prepared by 『Pillow』 itself.
Pillow is a loose network of independent creators, and rather than just a book, it is an 'imagination' and a 'relationship' that aims for a new literary/subjective order.

[Introductory Poem] Pillow / Kim Ho-ae
The pillow is white
The pillow can be hugged
A pillow has a soul made of feathers
Pillows are moved from room to room.
The pillow falls apart on its own
Pillows sometimes dream other people's dreams.
The pillow wipes my tears away
The pillow doesn't say anything when I sniff it with my nose pressed against its nape.
The pillow is not kind at all
Pillows have a lot of time
The pillow is getting old
A pillow grows into a pillow
My next generation
Pillows hate water
The pillow is mostly lying face down
The pillow is silent
Silence is softness
The pillow doesn't come even when I call it
When I approach there
The pillow is still
It's like he doesn't even know how to bark
Keep your head facing downwards
Revealing a round belly
Always in the same place as me
Roots growing under the pillow
I fall asleep under the shadow of a fallen tree

##The Seat of the Waves/ Park So-hee
A green wave is a wave that has not yet broken, but has a lively slope.
The state of white foam when the waves break is called whitewash.
Green waves are commonly called living waves, and whitewash is commonly called dead waves.
Surfing is the act of riding the slope of a living wave.
Waves are born and die without rest.
As the water surface rises, the waves come to life, and when the water can no longer rise, it pours forward and dies.
The process of waves being born and dying is the most common sight we witness while surfing.
When the wave dies, the board can no longer ride, so you have to ride the wave while it's still alive, for the brief moment it's allowed to live.
It is always a wonder to watch the birth and death of waves from the very beginning.
If you watch the process closely, you will feel a small awe and hold your breath for a moment.
Born from the seemingly calm surface of the sea, some waves survive a little longer, while others do not.
Sometimes I think that the human life cycle is similar to waves.
In surfing, the following expression is often used to describe waves:
In these expressions, it seems that 'wave' could be read as 'person'.
The waves are still alive.
The waves die.
Go towards the waves.
The waves are coming to life.
The waves are strong.
I missed the wave.
The waves disappeared.
Let's go in search of waves.
Waiting for the wave.
I miss the waves.
Finally meet the waves.
Perhaps someone will read the name of a person in place of the wave.

## Pillow Talk / Jo Won-gyu
We see the summer of 2025 slowly fading away.
I have a feeling that the number of 『Pillow』 lakes has now entered double digits.
What I put the most effort into publishing 『Pillow No. 10』 was to have a capacity to accept things that go beyond the editor's tastes and vision.
There were times when it was difficult to accept the unfamiliar idioms and emotional swings of the creators, but overcoming those difficulties was the very thing that broadened "Pillow."
『Pillow』 would only expand through the works it embraced.
I am very satisfied that we can welcome so many writers to 『Pillow No. 10』.
The reason we are publishing more poems than ever before is because there were so many submissions that we could not ignore.
Moreover, this issue includes three novels, significantly increasing the overall volume.
I think that what 『Pillow』 pursues is not the expansion of individuality.
"Pillow" exists to foster the belief that writing is not a short-term, finite game of pursuing visible glory.
It seems like we live in an era where the sense of value in literature as an 'infinite game' is being lost.
In any case, "Pillow" aims to be a medium and a place focused on "face-to-face encounters and communication"—something that's always possible without having to beat anyone in competition. However, I'm aware that it's not free from all its self-contradictions.
By selecting works and thus excluding some, and thus constantly creating interiors and exteriors accordingly, "Pillow" doesn't seem to be a welcoming presence, simply open and welcoming.
I think about this point carefully.
Still, when I think about the new voices and unexpected emotions I encounter through "Pillow," I find a reason to continue doing this work.
Even if it's not perfect, moving toward the infinite possibilities of literature? I believe this is the path "Pillow" must take, even if it involves contradictions.
