AROUND 93 (bimonthly): February [2024]
Description
Book Introduction
I wonder what kind of scene comes to mind when you hear the word 'workshop'.
The clouds of thoughts that rise up in clumps are all different in shape, use, and even the appearance of the person using them.
Rather than setting a clear framework, why not call any space where I can focus "a studio"? A studio reflects the lifestyle and tastes of its occupants, and it becomes a place where something is born from the writer's heart and thoughts.
It may seem natural that the workspace where we spend most of our day resembles a person's facial expression.
We wanted to look not at how beautiful and ornate it was inside, but at the stories that lingered there.
In this issue, we explore the landscape of old American offices, places filled with artistic works and the wishes of those who stay there, places where the writer's unique order exists, and the mindsets and attitudes toward work.
After closing the bookshelf, take a look around my studio.
What does it look like there? What do you do there, and what thoughts and feelings flow through your mind? Imagine your own little universe with the new issue of AROUND, No. 93, presented under the title "In the Studio."
