Mom's Food Coloring Book
Description
Book Introduction
A food coloring book that brings to mind your mother's dinner table.

Reminiscing, sharing stories,
Mom's Table: Coloring and Encounter

Everyone has precious memories related to food.
Especially as we get older, there are foods that come to mind more clearly. Many people choose the simple but hearty meals prepared by their mothers.
Aren't the warm memories you shared while eating together—savory soybean paste stew full of the flavor of spring, barley rice saecham that tastes like honey, precious samgyetang that made you forget the heat, and radish bibimbap eaten by clinking spoons—these are the strengths that have sustained you throughout your life?

The author, a painter and art therapist, uses this book to reminisce about her mother's cooking and the times she spent cooking for her loved ones.
As you color, the happy and warm memories you shared through food will come back vividly.
This book is not just about coloring, but focuses on recalling memories and telling stories through short texts that accompany the pictures.
This is a memory-boosting coloring book for parents who want to reminisce and talk about their memories.

Publisher's Review
- A friendly and easy colored pencil coloring book
- Includes coloring samples
- A loving message that helps me tell my story.
- Practical binding that allows you to tear off individual pages

■ What kind of picture is it?
This book contains seasonal foods enjoyed in spring, summer, fall, and winter.

Spring food that whets your appetite, food that helps you endure the heat and cold,
From the busy hands of autumn harvesting to the stored food that takes care of the year.
I've woven together the longing for my mother's lovingly prepared meals.

■ What tools should I use to color?
The colored pictures in this book were drawn with 24 colored pencils.
Colored pencils are a simple and easy-to-use tool.
-Colored pencils: It doesn't matter if you don't have a lot of colors.
You can express it sufficiently with 12 colored pencils.
-Pasnet: Use when you want to color darkly.
It is soft and spreadable, so even those with weak hands can use it easily.
-Pencil pastel: If you rub it with your hand, you can express a soft feeling well.
It's very useful when painting large areas of background.

■ How to color it?
There is a colored picture on the left page.
This is just one example, feel free to paint it in any color that best suits your mood.
And listen to the voice of my heart.
So that I, the one coloring, become the master of the picture,
It is designed to allow for a variety of coloring of hand-drawn sketches.
I hope that this will be a painting that expresses my feelings well, rather than a well-colored painting.

■ Color while talking.
The short essays in this book will serve as a springboard for creating your own stories.
Look at the pictures and talk about them with your parents or elders.
“Did Mom go out to pick spring greens with her friends?”
“Dad, do you remember playing in the water with a watermelon soaked in the stream?”
“Honey, was it hard making all that kimchi?”
“My mother really liked red bean porridge….”
As you color while sharing stories, free associations arise.
The association activates the ability to think, and not only exercises the brain,
It also helps prevent dementia.

■ You can tear off each sheet and use it.

All the illustrations in this book are my own work.
You can tear it off and stick it on the wall, or give it as a gift.
First, press firmly along the dotted line to fold it, then tear it off.
