Description
Book Introduction
"This poetic picture book beautifully depicts the life of a dandelion, from seed to being blown away by the wind.
The delicate watercolors that make good use of the margins and the concise text that is minimalistic and restrained forcefully tell the story of how a plant grows and survives in the city, showing how small and weak creatures tenaciously overcome the harsh environment, and above all, telling us that the most ordinary things in our lives can be the most beautiful.

Dandelions are common, close, and pretty.
Moreover, it shows the cycle of life, blooming, dying, and sprouting again, almost simultaneously.
That's why there are quite a few ecological picture books that show young readers the life cycle of a dandelion.
This book also contains the life cycle of a dandelion.
But this book also hopes to encourage you to listen to another story that the dandelion tells with its entire body.
A story about being yourself, a story about self-respect, and a story about each of us being strong.

Publisher's Review
Every spring, a flower festival takes place.
Magnolias, plum blossoms, and cherry blossoms are blooming and falling, and forsythias and azaleas are in full bloom.
While people are intoxicated by the tall flowers of the trees and waking up, small flowers of the grass bloom in the low places.
Flowers like daisies, violets, dandelions… … .
Each one has a shy yet proud face, and they bloom their own share of spring light, regardless of who sees them.

The most common of these is the dandelion.
Dandelions are common and often overlooked.
But that's why dandelions are more tenacious.
Dandelions bloom here and there.
Even on the slopes of large roads, beneath street trees, under walls, on top of old tiled roofs, and in the gaps of the median strips of highways, wherever there is even a little dust, dandelions sprout, put out leaves, and bloom yellow flowers.
And then, somewhere, somewhere, it produces seeds that will bloom into green leaves and yellow flowers, and they are blown away by the wind.
Its appearance seems to clearly and unequivocally assert that it is a dandelion that grows wherever it goes, that it will bloom yellow flowers wherever it goes, and that it will always survive as a dandelion.

I am very proud of that dandelion.
No, that's great.
Perhaps, that small but powerful life is a step ahead of us, adults and children, who often lose our individuality and self-esteem as we live a difficult life, tossed and turned here and there.

As I was thinking about this, I suddenly realized something.
Yes, just as a dandelion is a dandelion, so am I not myself, anytime, anywhere! Successful or unsuccessful, rich or poor, I am none other than myself, and aren't we each our own selves, indescribable? ...! Thinking this way, there's no reason why I can't protect myself, my uniqueness, each of my uniquenesses.
