The toad wants to repay the favor and says he will grant 'just one small wish'. However, Hoon's wish, which he thought was trivial, is always rejected by the toad. He says firmly that it is 'not trivial at all' to change the mind of a friend who is very angry after arguing with him and wants to become friends again. He also asks to change his disliked art class to gym class, but this is also refused. It reminds us all how important it is to keep the rules we have agreed to. Even the request to replace the vegetable side dish with a ham side dish is rejected, saying that being a picky eater is not a trivial matter. When Hoon asks, “What on earth is something so small?” the toad rolls its eyes and says sarcastically, “Um… something so small and insignificant.” Will Hoon be able to find and fulfill his "small wish"? And what exactly does "small" mean? This book is a fascinating and entertaining read, one that continues to the very end. A toad that magically pops into a child's ordinary daily life.
