Wiri, a character born from childhood wounds

One day, Wiri is suddenly left in the care of a big family due to her parents' divorce.
When she sees Wiri anxious about being separated from her mother, her grandmother sends her back to her mother's house.
But when her mother leaves and leaves Wiri with her great-aunt, Wiri is hurt even more.
Wiri was entrusted to the big house again.
The wounds caused by her mother suddenly appear in Wiri's daily life.
They can't say they can't eat spinach like their peers or that they don't want to wear clothes that other people wear.
Also, I can't ask for a Children's Day gift or for money to buy a friend a birthday gift.
I'm afraid I'll be abandoned again.
However, she receives courage and healing from her seemingly blunt but always helpful cousin, Sora's wise mother, and Sora and Hunam, who have become the incomparable trio.

It's not about holding an umbrella, but about getting wet together.

The author does not tell the protagonist of the story, Wiri, or the countless other 'Wiris' who have suffered trauma from childhood, to overcome their trauma, or to tell them to overcome it.
Instead, he tells them to face the child in their hearts who harbors a pain that cannot be healed, and offer comfort and love.
The author thinks that perhaps there are countless illusions living in the hearts of people around the world.

In addition to Wiri's personal pain, "Wiri's Story" also deals with social issues such as domestic violence, sexual harassment, school violence, and animal abuse, which Wiri and her friends overcome with wisdom and courage.
The author says that he always sees Wiri overcome adversity and grow, and hopes that it will warm the hearts of countless Wiri in reality.

This is a healing essay cartoon depicting the pure courage of children in the face of harsh social problems.
The book contains previously unpublished cuts that were not included in the series, and the author's essay and beautiful full-cut illustrations in each chapter add to the book's appeal.

Over 1.5 million cumulative likes! Adapted for immediate release! Serialization confirmed in Japan.
After successful funding, subscribers flooded in with inquiries about publishing the book.
The Wiri story is also receiving positive responses overseas.

"Wiri Story" is a work that has been serialized on Instagram from September 2021 to the present.
Moro has over 80,000 subscribers and receives a lot of sympathy and support from his subscribers.
It maintains a significantly higher number of 'likes' compared to the number of views, and there are numerous encouraging comments.
In the spring of 2023, a funding campaign combining cute and adorable characters with various goods was conducted, and the project ended successfully with nearly 15 times the expected goal.
Thanks to the enthusiastic support of readers who were unable to purchase the book and goods during the Tumblbug process, it has now been published as a single volume.

"The Story of Wiri" has received much attention in many countries thanks to the promotional efforts of the copyright holder, Kenaz, and as a result of such promotions, it was confirmed to be serialized on Japan's Apple Books (a platform similar to Naver Webtoon's platform) in the winter of 2023.
Additionally, the popularity of the Wiri character was confirmed even before the illustration fair.

"Wiri Story" has a stronger narrative than other Instatoons, and because it talks about the wounds and pain that everyone has experienced at least once in their childhood, it is said that once you become a Wiri subscriber, you become a so-called "Wi-chin" (Wi-ri friend) and suffer from Wiri-related illnesses.
Unlike other Instatoon books published in single-panel formats, which consist of 1-2 cuts per page, this book contains densely packed comics with multiple cuts per page, making it even more enjoyable to read.
This book has a wide range of readers, from teenagers to those in their 60s, and we took great care in editing it to ensure that it is accessible to young readers.

Author's Note

The meaning of the name 'Wiri' is 'we+our'.
The name was given because Wiri is thought to be a 'wounded child' in the hearts of adults.
I just wanted to say that I'm not the only one who feels this way.
I wanted to meet many wounded people in the world, broadly portray the pain they might have experienced, and lend a little strength to help countless others overcome the wounds of their childhood.
