Publisher's Review
It has been almost 20 years since Danggeurae Publishing Company first introduced tarot cards to Korea and tarot cards became familiar to the general public.
While creating many tarot cards, the question I always received from readers was, “Is there a tarot card for our country?” From that time on, Danggeurae Publishing Company began to think about a tarot card that suited our emotions.
Couldn't we create a uniquely Korean tarot card deck, integrating traditional Tarot with the science of fortune-telling, in keeping with the times? Finally, we captured the emotions our people share, even the images that predict good and bad fortune, in a deck of 80 Sajoo oracle cards.
The Sajoo oracle cards enrich the expression method by adding the interaction of the various energies of the five elements in fortune telling and proverbs and legends that have been passed down to the present.
Moreover, because it contains the beauty, scenery, and traditions of Korea, which has a history of five thousand years, each page allows you to feel the joys and sorrows of our ancestors.
The purpose of fortune telling is to tell people about good and bad fortune after a long period of study, but the intention is to make the Sajoo oracle cards, which embody our national sentiment, more directly touch our hearts.
1.
The Sajoo Oracle Cards allow you to know about your future in a more direct way, eliminating as much of the symbolism of the Western Tarot as possible.
While traditional Western tarot cards require you to rely solely on the interpretations of tarot masters, the Sajoo oracle cards allow you to roughly guess what will happen just by looking at the pictures.
2.
There is no need to rely on other people's interpretations for each of the 80 cards.
Each chapter has two to three meanings, and even the meanings are in Korean, so anyone can understand the meaning just by looking at the picture, so even beginners can use it easily.
And don't mix up the order of the pictures in a complicated way.
If you draw 5 cards and interpret them in the order they were drawn, the last picture is a storytelling card that predicts the future in response to the question.
