Collecting daily inspiration
Description
Book Introduction
Inspiration, ideas, insights.
It's the magic word that everyone wants to get.
How does Seo Eun-ah, a marketer working at a global platform company, tirelessly gather inspiration? The answer lies in this book.
『Daily Inspiration Collection』 is not simply a book that archives the author's inspiration.
This book teaches you how to find sparkling inspiration in ordinary daily life, and how to collect the important moments in our lives that we might otherwise overlook.

It cultivates the power to capture and closely observe a moment in life that might otherwise be overlooked—a line on a receipt, a word written on a napkin at a restaurant where you had lunch—and discover something special in it, leading to a question mark and ultimately an exclamation point.
This is an easy-to-follow, practical, and inspirational training guide that offers specific tips and examples for each step, organized into a four-week curriculum.

Into the book
This book was created based on the 'Daily Inspiration Collection' ritual program conducted by the self-growth platform, Mimmi.
Collecting daily inspiration isn't just about gathering inspiration and insights.
This is a collection of 'moments of our lives'.
It's about capturing a moment in my life that was nothing, that would have just passed by.
It is my own ritual to cultivate the power to observe closely, collect traces, raise questions from the fragments of those traces, and thus draw inspiration, in order to discover something special in those insignificant moments.

--- 「Prologue.
From “A Healthy and Strong Life”

Then one day, an anxious thought arose, 'What if these days never end?'
At that moment, when I was overcome with the fear that there would be nothing new in my life, I asked myself a small question.
"Is there really no input in my life?" Even a single page of the calendar I used to tear up without thinking became incredibly precious, and a single thank-you card in the mail felt like a grand message to the entire world.
I realized that the message from the owner attached to the delivery food was an important channel for connecting with each other.
Oh, we live in a different way.
We're not just living, we're sharing new stories, conveying meaning, and living together! I felt compelled to strive to never forget or lose that feeling.
That's how my daily inspiration collection began.
I began to carefully collect each and every one of the items: convenience store receipts, promotional materials I received after purchasing something, and price tags dangling from my t-shirts.
So I collected little pieces of life and explored the new world that opened up through them.
--- 「Chapter 1.
From "The Power That Brings Me Back to Ordinary Days"

This is what it means to collect and record the little moments of each day.

· Training my mind to cherish every moment of life
· Telling yourself that no moment is trivial
· Developing the strength to cherish small moments
· Learning that all moments come together to make up my time and my life.

Collecting daily inspiration is about developing the power to find life energy and inspiration within yourself through this entire process.
--- 「Chapter 2.
From “Collecting the Little Moments of Life”

After practicing this hard, I find myself exercising the power of observation, seeing things I couldn't see before and envisioning things I hadn't seen before.
This is what is meant by 'detailed observation'.
Let us observe with affection the little things we encounter in our daily lives.
--- 「Chapter 3.
From “Four Powers You Can Gain by Collecting Daily Inspiration”

If you observe carefully, you will often have the experience of discovering things beyond what you see.
The 'robust power of discovery' we are talking about here is the power to discover invisible contexts and inspirations.
It is also the power to transform everyday life into an 'Aha!' moment.
If the power of observation mentioned earlier is 'the power to see what can be seen with the eyes but has been overlooked', then the power of discovery means 'the power to discover and retrieve things beyond what is invisible to the eyes'.
--- 「Chapter 3.
From “Four Powers You Can Gain by Collecting Daily Inspiration”

'Digging' is the act of looking deeply into something.
For me, digging is a journey of following question marks and finding exclamation points.
We often marvel at the exclamation marks someone has discovered.
Now, let's find our own exclamation point and enjoy greater admiration.
Digging gives you the power to expand into a wider world, or 'flexible expansion power'.
Flexibility is the mind's ability to freely travel through the small moments of my life to broader ideas.
It is the power that makes you feel like you are traveling through a forest in Northern Europe when you see a single leaf fallen on the roadside.
--- 「Chapter 3.
From “Four Powers You Can Gain by Collecting Daily Inspiration”

On days when even sitting at my desk is a real burden, I admit that burden.
Just let go of the burden and doodle, stamp, and stick stickers on the traces left in your pockets, bag, and desk.
A day when I don't have to think about question marks and exclamation points, a day when just being able to protect myself is enough. Collecting daily inspiration cultivates the ability to remember actions that lead the heart.
This kind of 'behavioral memory' allows us to practice living well every day.
--- 「Chapter 3.
From “Four Powers You Can Gain by Collecting Daily Inspiration”

Take a close look at the items that are in your bag every day.
There's a reason they're always in my bag.
Let's practice looking more closely at the use and value of things we put in our bags, whether they are work-related items like access cards, business cards, and laptops; daily necessities like wallets, coffee coupons, and disposable mouthwash; or things that make us happy, like books, small notebooks, and cute keychains.
Creating a "how-to manual" for myself, rather than a product manual, allows me to see how the item contributes to my life.

Publisher's Review
Highly recommended by Son Ha-bin, CEO of Midmi, Lee Seung-hee, marketer, and Jang In-seong, CEO of Stayfolio!

“Insight is not something you get, it’s something you discover!”
Veteran marketer Seo Eun-ah of a global platform company shares habits that fuel my life.

Planners, marketers, designers, brand managers, and other professionals who need ideas are always on the lookout for a spark of inspiration.
But I don't know where or how to get it.
Is inspiration only found through a sudden revelation, a trip to discover a stunning work of art, or a majestic natural landscape? If you believe inspiration can only be found through extraordinary experiences, away from the everyday, this book will offer a completely different perspective.
"Collecting Daily Inspiration" is the know-how of author Seo Eun-ah, a veteran marketer working at a global platform company and known as the "marketer's marketer," to find inspiration in her daily life, and the driving force that has enabled her to work tirelessly for 29 years.
It is also a so-called 'lecture that people line up to listen to', so popular that it has been sold out for four consecutive years on the self-growth platform, Mimmi.
Students who have taken this course before say that collecting daily inspiration has not only changed their work, but their lives.

Experience → Collection → Question Mark → Exclamation Mark
A 4-week curriculum of inspirational training you can follow right now that will transform your work and life.

This book argues that inspiration comes not from special experiences but from everyday life, and that the ability to find inspiration can be trained in any way.
And to do this, I suggest starting by taking a closer look at an ordinary day.
Collecting daily inspiration consists of four major steps.
Experience, collection, question mark, exclamation point.
Experiences are what give shape to my day.
Even if today is no different from yesterday, if you look closely, there is definitely at least one experience that is different from usual.
Capturing these experiences is step one.
Then, move on to step 2 and collect small pieces of your experience to record it, such as receipts, cafe coupons, and memos.
In the next step, I think about why the piece piqued my interest and what I'm curious about about it.
Finally, in step 4, you find your own answers to the questions you raised in step 3.
In other words, even if it's just a day that passes by, I look closely and collect small pieces that make the moment shine, ask questions like, "How did this brand start?" and dig into it to find information like, "This is how this brand grew!" and finally, I get the realization that, "I should incorporate this into my work like this!"

This book provides a detailed, four-week curriculum, with specific examples, covering each stage one week at a time.
This book kindly explains the goals of each week, as well as what topics of inspiration you should collect each day, and even provides useful tips for each step, so you can learn how to train your inspiration naturally as you read.
This is the most useful and practical guidebook for those who want to gather special insights from ordinary daily life and face their lives more clearly.

“Turn nothing into something special!”
Four Powers You Can Gain by Collecting Daily Inspiration

This is why people who practice daily inspiration gathering testify to amazing changes not only in their work but also in their lives.
Because by taking a closer look at my day, which I thought was nothing special, I gained self-confidence and a love for life.
Collecting daily inspiration goes beyond simply 'how to find ideas' to 'how to ignite a life that is gradually fading away'.
Daily inspiration gathering focuses on four powers: detailed observation, solid discovery, flexible expansion, and action memory.
The power of careful observation is the power to see things that we would otherwise overlook.
Strong discovery power is the power to find what is invisible.
Flexible expansion is the power to expand your thinking and see a bigger world.
Behavioral memory is the power to maintain good habits even on days when you're too tired to give up.
With these four powers, you can add color to your ordinary daily life, open the door to curiosity, gain new perspectives, and continue to protect the better version of yourself you've created.

As we go through life, there are times when we reach a point of despair where it seems like things can never get better or change.
If you feel stuck at this wall, try the training methods presented in this book.
You will have an amazing experience of finding joy in familiar scenery and finding great inspiration that can change your life 180 degrees from small experiences.
