The Life of Agatha Christie

Her full name is Agatha Mary Clarissa Miller Christie Mallowan.
Born on September 15, 1890 in Devon, England.
She was the youngest of three children born to New York-born father Frederick Albert Miller and British-born mother Clara Boehmer, and spent her childhood in a Victorian house called Ashfield, where she was greatly influenced by her experiences.
After losing her father at the age of eleven, she moved to Paris at the age of sixteen to study voice and piano. She returned to England in 1912, married Colonel Christie in 1914, and worked as a volunteer nurse when her husband was dispatched to war.
Christie, who enjoyed reading mystery novels, wrote her first work, The Mysterious Affair at Styles, in 1916, which was published in 1920.
She continued to publish novels, but after a disagreement with her husband, she divorced him in 1928. The following year, while traveling in Mesopotamia, she met archaeologist Max Mallowan and remarried in 1930.
In 1967, she became the first woman to become President of the British Detective Association.
In 1971, for her outstanding talent and creative spirit, she was awarded the title of Dame Commander of the British Empire (DBE, equivalent to a knighthood for men) by Queen Elizabeth II, becoming Dame Agatha.
He died on January 12, 1976, at the age of 86 at his mansion in the suburbs of London.
