Surong, who's always wanted to go to space, couldn't miss this opportunity! While his parents were looking away, Surong snuck into a delivery box and flew into space.
And there, he meets the space courier Takkong, receives a magical vest that allows him to adapt to any planet, and begins his delivery mission in earnest.
The story of Surongi and Ttakkongi's tumultuous delivery journey across the universe is both entertaining and interesting, and at the same time, it makes us think about the hard work of delivery drivers who struggle to ensure that we receive our packages safely and comfortably.

Surongi goes out with space deliveryman Ttakkongi to deliver goods and meets interesting aliens from various unique planets.
A planet with a hundred moons that are always bright day and night, 365 days a year, a diamond planet where everything is sharp and hard, a planet the size of a grain of rice inhabited by rice-grain aliens, a planet surrounded by the ocean, etc.
The aliens on each planet use the items shipped from Earth for their original purposes, but they also find new uses for them that are different from their original purposes, such as using Wando seaweed as a blanket, or using water bottle brushes and dishcloths as shower tools.


In this way, "Space Courier" humorously depicts the ways in which Earthlings and aliens interact, and shows us, as we prepare for the future, the importance of a flexible attitude toward life that embraces new things with an open mind, and a value system that respects and acknowledges beings different from ourselves.

Ttakkong and Surong, who were heading to the delivery location carrying the last shipment of 'popcorn corn', take a shortcut at the urging of the customer, Pupu.
Then, unintentionally, the shipment explodes.
The corn has turned into popcorn in the hot sun.
Thanks to this, popcorn flies across the universe, creating an unexpected popcorn party! The savory aroma and salty flavor instantly captivate the aliens' taste buds.
Before we know it, Pupu, who ordered the corn, also smells it and flies over.
Pupu, who was angry when he saw that the corn he ordered had turned into popcorn, calms down when he sees everyone enjoying the popcorn, and even suggests that they watch a movie together.


So, Ppupu, his alien friends, and Surong gather together to watch a movie.
Pupu, who had been angry the whole time, finally regains his smile.
Pupu, who used to like doing things alone, is smiling for the first time while doing something with someone else, showing the happiness of being together and the joy of sharing.


Meanwhile, on Earth, the desperate voices of the mother and father searching for the missing Surongi can be heard.
Surong, who was watching a family movie with aliens, suddenly misses his mom and dad and wipes away tears.
Fortunately, thanks to Ttakkong's help, Surong returns to Earth and is reunited with his mom and dad.

Author Lee Su-hyeon, who majored in animation in college, utilized the comic book structure to immerse young readers.
First, we created fun and bubbly characters like the Rice Grain Alien and the Paprika Alien.
The vivid depiction of the main character, Surong's facial expressions, is also impressive.
These characters move vividly within variously divided frames and drive the story.
Here, the elements that fill the background, as well as the text and pictures hidden throughout the scenes in addition to the main text, add to the fun of finding and reading.
Even in the background coloring process, the texture is expressed in detail, conveying a richer feeling even though it is a picture drawn digitally.
The artist also utilized the lithographic effect, a printmaking technique, to express the vast and mysterious feeling of space.
To achieve this, two series of orange and blue were used as the main colors, and yellow mixed with fluorescent light was used as an accent to convey not only uniqueness in expression but also freshness in coloring.


The lighthearted and refreshing atmosphere that runs throughout 『Space Delivery』 guides readers one step closer to the future society and space through the book.
