I'm walking following my heart
Description
Book Introduction
If you want to go, go, if you want to see, see!
A life of freedom, trekking around the world
The golden age of life is not when you get recognition from others, but when you do what you want to do.
This is possible when you put your will into action without wasting time on conditions.
When you keep moving and doing what you want to do, a world you have never seen or imagined in your life unfolds before your eyes.
For the author, ‘trekking’ was not simply a movement of the body.
It was a challenge of my own that did not entail the sacrifice of those around me, and it gave me a taste of true accomplishment and joy.
As my trekking experience grew, what strengthened me as much as my physical strength was my sense of freedom and happiness.
"Walking Following Your Heart" is a travel essay that vividly records the ecstatic moments nature provides while trekking through eight countries.
The author has spent most of his time trekking since leaving office, including over 20 overseas expeditions over the past two and a half years, and feels alive with his whole body.
The records kept without missing a single day are concise yet vivid and capture the vitality of each day.
The author captured the vibrant landscapes he encountered directly in nature with his camera, following his gaze.
The vividly colored photographs lead readers into an unfamiliar world, evoking the thrill and excitement of seeing something for the first time.
This book is divided into six parts, organized by travel itinerary. Part 1 explores Lake Braies in the Dolomites, the signature Trech Mae in the east, and Sassoongo in the west. Part 2 sequentially visits the three Caucasus countries of Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Armenia. Part 3 tackles the Everest Base Camp (EBC) in the Himalayas. Part 4 climbs Mount Kinabalu, the highest peak in Southeast Asia. Parts 5 and 6 explore Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, respectively, along the Tian Shan Mountains of Central Asia.
The route is displayed on a map in front of each PART, helping you understand the travel flow at a glance.
Many people are interested in trekking, but health and financial issues prevent them from taking on the challenge.
But if you don't even try, that foolishness will only remain as a lifelong regret.
I hope this book will be a small resonance for anyone preparing for a second life after retirement or feeling fearful of new challenges, and serve as a spark for a new life plan.
I hope that all readers will find courage in the author's journey and experience an indescribable thrill through the life they pursue.
