How to endure the hazy me
How to endure the hazy me
Description
Book Introduction
I live each day by carefully straightening my crumpled heart.
How to look into my feelings within it
-The second essay by Ssuk, who brought deep comfort with "Nameless Emotions."

Some days, old hobbies feel boring and you start to miss out on your favorite foods.
Daily anxiety paralyzes me, and sometimes I feel like I'm not worth it.
At moments like these, some writings deeply, warmly, and affectionately touch and care for our inner selves.
This is exactly what author Suk's writing is like, receiving rave reviews from readers who say, "Every word in the writing feels like my own heart," "I cried without realizing it," and "I gained courage."
In the newly published essay, “How to Endure the Blurry Self,” the author also conveys deep empathy and strong consolation with the character “Nameless,” his other self.

Nameless, a character who resembles all of us, simply objectively looks into his inner self and discovers, one by one, his own ways to survive each day.
In this way, anonymous people grow little by little through the frustrations and overcoming that occur from time to time, and they become more confident in themselves with a stronger mind.
If the previous work calmly depicted the anonymous times and offered comfort, this book allows you to meet the anonymous people who create you in a more cheerful way.
Additionally, the layout of the pages has been changed and a sense of color has been added to make it more readable, and the unknown stories have been enriched with newly written text and reorganized illustrations exclusively for the single volume.

Into the book
There's no way I can put out good writing and pictures every day.
But just start without being afraid.
Awkward words and blurry pictures.
When you discover something like that, you feel embarrassed but you have to admit it.
There are texts like this and pictures like this.
It goes without saying that I and my byproducts cannot be perfect.
If you don't like the first sentence, just change it.
If one arm looks awkward, just erase it and draw it.
If you don't start, there will only be works that will never be discovered.
Anyway, I wrote and drew today too.
Then that's it.

--- p.19 From "The First Button"

There are things that are too late to regret.
Things that won't change no matter how much you cry.
It would be better to forget that quickly.
Because nothing will change even if you stay.
Anyway, I will go ahead.
Even if you make regrettable choices, you won't suddenly go broke.
Absolutely not.
If you persevere and keep moving forward, you will surely be able to reach the bright place you wanted to go to.
Stop blaming yourself and feel sorry for now and get up.
Let's do what we can, step by step.

--- p.65 From “We’ll Move On Anyway”

Embrace your troubled heart.
I imagine someone comforting me.
Imagine someone gently embracing my old, tired body and patting my back regularly.
I can faintly hear a voice whispering in my ear, "It's okay, it's okay."
You did your best, everyone makes mistakes, you worked hard, now it's time to rest, that's okay.
When you speak softly, only then does my heart soften and I close my fluttering eyes.
The strength that was tightly held was slowly released.
--- p.85 From "I Want to Be Comfortable"

How can life be bright and fresh forever?
There will be days when you have to secretly endure the miserable festering heart.
Even if you remain silent for the moment after experiencing sadness, you can smile and say that it is okay someday.
I feel like this is a recent episode written somewhere in my book.
Remembering that there are days when you can laugh innocently among people full of joy.
I remember that I have become much stronger anyway.
Yes, with the mindset that everything will pass.

--- p.111 From "Episode"

It's all a matter of mindset.
Just as all suffering begins in my mind, so too does joy blossom from my mind.
If you think it's fun, it's fun. If you feel it's growing, it's growing. If you shout it's okay, it's okay.
I feel good today too.
If you have that kind of mindset, you will become that kind of mindset.

--- p.137 From "Making Up Your Mind"

You, who have gained experience by personally going through hardships, now look really strong.
When a problem arises, they tend to trivialize it and use it as a tool to make others laugh.
When I see you standing there, unfazed and calm, even while anticipating a future full of problems, I feel reassured.
When I see you like that, I feel like I can do anything.
And yet, my heart aches.
But he just smiles.
Because that's what you want.
Because you have become strong to be happy.
Because we are happy when we laugh.
--- p.183 From “Because I became stronger to become happy”

When I focus on things that make me happy and my tastes, I find myself surrounded by people who like those things.
So, I am in the process of finding another meaning of love.
Not in the flat sense of love, but in the broad sense.
Holding the love within me.
--- p.208 From “I Don’t Want to Give or Receive Anything”

I want to be someone who takes responsibility for my choices.
If you're going to do it, do it nicely.
Even if I fail, I will do it bravely.
If you're anxious, you should do your best.
I have to do it, what can I do?
I have to move forward, because this is the path I chose.
I know everything will be a wonderful stroke in my life.
Even if it is a failure.
Because we don't always lose something.

--- p.251 From "What Should I Do"

I cried loudly and lost powerfully.
I tried hard and acknowledged the hardship.
With my mind and eyes a little clearer, I found out what was bothering me.
I pushed them away slowly and quietly.
I will run away from things I don't like, ignore things that are unpleasant, and organize my daily life around things that bring me peace.
I focused my efforts on actions that could overcome misfortune.
As the series of events progressed, the dull lethargy secretly disappeared.

Finally won.
By losing.
--- p.254 From "Pushing Apathy"

Publisher's Review
“I will run away from the place I hate,
Ignore what is unpleasant,
“I will fill my daily life with things that bring me peace.”
- The affectionate words of Suk, author of the best-selling book "Nameless Emotions"

Is there anyone who finds every day exciting and happy? Our daily lives are a healthy mix of hardship, boredom, despair, and hope.
Sometimes I hate myself for being like that, and some days I just burst into tears.
At moments when such exhausting and painful emotions surge in like waves, there is an author who delivers great emotion and comfort to the heart.

Author Suk, who received much love for her previous work, “Nameless Emotions,” is well known for her unique, deeply empathetic drawings and writing.
That must be why.
Readers' praise continues to pour in, saying, "Every word in the book feels like my own heart," "I shed tears without even realizing it," and "I gained courage."

The recently published book, “How to Endure the Blurry Me,” also offers a comforting feeling of empathy.
Especially during days of anxiety and depression, he shows dazzling insight into his inner self through his other self, 'Nameless'.
Nameless, a character like all of us, simply takes a close, objective look inside himself and discovers his own ways to survive each day.
And I try to build my world, create happiness, and become a stronger person, someone I can be proud of.

This book follows the journey of an anonymous person as he gradually grows and begins to love himself.
If the previous work calmly depicted the anonymous times and offered comfort, this book allows you to meet the anonymous people who create you in a more cheerful way.
Additionally, the layout of the pages has been changed and a sense of color has been added to make it more readable, and the anonymous journey has been enriched with newly written text and reorganized illustrations exclusively for the single volume.

Days when I had to secretly endure my hardships
How to create my own world in the midst of the fleeting flow of everyday life

In the book, the author's alter ego, Myeong, appears, deeply hurt and frustrated after experiencing numerous setbacks and failures.
But it doesn't keep falling down.
You try and gain a lot while your wounds turn into scars.
So now I've become strong enough to face problems without crying and solve them step by step.

If you persevere and move forward
To where I clearly wanted to go,
You will be able to go to a bright place.

Stop blaming yourself
I'm sorry for leaving now

wake up.

Let's do what we can, step by step.
_From page 65 of the text

The time it took to get to this point was by no means easy.
There were days when loving myself felt so hard and everything I did felt like it was no good.
But I just did my best in it.
Because I don't want to regret it.
Then I started to like that kind of effort.
By doing so, I was able to affirm myself and finally build ‘my world.’
The author's journey remains a journey of obscurity.
That is why the emotions that Myeong experiences on a daily basis, the several times of embarrassment, the frequent frustrations and overcoming them, deeply resonate with the viewers.

“Happiness is nothing special.
“You are amazing, you are so cool, you made a good choice.”
With the hope that even the difficult times now will be turned into a story of bravery someday

The keywords of overcoming and happiness that Anmyeong conveys are far from grandiose and great.
We are each trapped in our own hell and each moving towards our own heaven.
World peace cannot take precedence over individual happiness.
I want to do something to get myself up and do something about it, even though I'm about to faint.
The most important thing is ‘my happiness’.

In this book, author Suk says that through the character Anonymous, she will find her happiness and sometimes feel anxious about how difficult it is to love herself, but she will eventually discover a new world.
There are many methods, and in the end, it will be I who finds meaning in them. I choose what I feel comfortable with and add harmony by saying, “Sing with your tone.”
Even on days when you want to run away deep inside, I pat you on the back and tell you to gladly choose where your heart feels at ease.

There's something I want to say to my old self.
You find your own happiness.

The person who can make you happy
You are the only one who has courage.

Let's prepare to move forward to happiness.
Get ready to frown at the sudden light.

And prepare to endure the clown who will soon laugh so hard that he will hurt.
_From page 151 of the text

If we embrace the things we love and move forward one step at a time, at the end of such struggles, “our lives, viewed from afar, will finally become a beautiful landscape.”
Author Ssuk wrote, “Some writings are so deep and passionate that their letters are engraved like a warm, round wound deep in the heart, and they protect the inner self like an effective talisman.”
Someday, when you have to secretly endure a difficult time, you will open this book and find words that deeply, warmly, and affectionately touch your inner self.
