Why we're better together than alone
The common-looking pigeon, a common sight on the road, is a stray who always gets lost.
In situations where I would not be able to take a single step if I were alone, having Gururuk with me gives me the strength to “go straight ahead.”
The problem is that Gururuk is also a roadblock.

Even if two pigeons circle the globe and search diligently, they will not find the crispy cloud car.
Maybe it has already passed by the pigeons.
The good thing about being two is that we can encourage each other when things get overwhelming and we want to give up.
Even if you're going the wrong way, you can encourage yourself to keep going a little further, and sometimes you can enjoy the situation where you're together even if you forget the purpose.
This way of life can be applied not only to our journey to find a crispy cloud tea, but also to our lives.
Having overcome their difficult journey together, the pigeons finally gain the confidence that 'together they can do anything and go anywhere.'


A trip around the world towards a crispy cloud car
Crossing the sea by boat and leaving the familiar city, Dugi and Gururuk encounter scenery they have never seen before instead of the crispy cloud car.
The journey of pigeons through unfamiliar world destinations such as the American West, the Amazon River, and the African desert unfolds like a road movie.

In scenes where the pigeons are in everyday spaces, there is some blank space, and in scenes where they are traveling, the screen is filled with no blank space, allowing the viewer to become more immersed in the pigeons' journey outside of their everyday spaces.

In a written interview with the publisher, artist Kim Seong-eun said that she enjoys the process of drawing original drawings directly on paper, and explained why she chose colored pencils as her drawing medium, saying, “Since the work is set in summer and is a story about travel, I wanted it to have a carefree and light feeling.”

The untold story of urban pigeons
In many cities, pigeons are being designated as 'urban pests', and the number of people who dislike pigeons is increasing.
Even if you don't like pigeons, shouldn't you respect their way of life and think about ways to coexist?
Author Kim Seong-eun thought about how bleak and suffocating a world would be if only humans lived together, without any other beings, and thought of pigeons, urban animals.
And I created a story about two pigeons traveling the world together, hoping that wherever they go, it will be less scary.

How about watching the story of pigeons that set off on a journey after falling in love with the taste of crispy cloud cookies (popcorn) they accidentally tasted, and thinking about the lives of animals coexisting with humans in the city?
These discoveries could lead to greater interest and understanding of all life on Earth.
