To you who has lost your light
To you who has lost your light
Description
Book Introduction
"The moment you believe you've lost your light, the story begins again."

A star born in blue light who shined brighter than anyone else, but lost love and hid in the darkness.
And a child came to find the star.
The story depicts the process of two beings finding comfort in each other and finally finding their own light again.

On top of author Jin Bun-hong's lyrical prose, 19 unique paintings by artists Song Ha-na and Kim Min are added, delivering a new resonance with each opening of the book.
The story and the pictures breathe together, calmly leading the reader into a star-filled world.

This book is not simply a story about stars.
It is also the story of all those who have forgotten how to love themselves, the moments when they felt lonely because of their differences, and the moments when they lost love.
"To You Who Has Lost Your Light" is a warm fairy tale that reminds us that beauty is sufficient even without flashiness, and makes us look at ourselves again in the midst of our weary daily lives.

Author's Note

Into the book
There were days when I too felt helpless and exhausted.
What is the world you dream of? You have lost your goal and your path.
I just thought that when I opened my eyes it would be morning, and when I closed them it would be night.
Days of enduring and enduring again… .
It was a time when the word 'surviving' was more appropriate than the word 'living'.
The days when I wanted to live, laugh, and struggle to prove my life have come together
The story has begun.
As I put a period to this article, life gained a little meaning.
I believe that one day, I will be able to complete my inner world as perfectly as the blue star.

Anyone can be a blue star.
It could be you who has not found your own value, or it could be a friend,
It could be family.
If you think of someone around you
Please believe and support me silently like the ‘child’ in the book.
Eventually, he too will find his own worth.

Publisher's Review
"It's okay if it doesn't shine, it's a beautiful story in itself."

There are moments when you feel like you've lost your light.
When love has faded away, when you feel misunderstood, or when you even want to give up on yourself.
“To You Who Has Lost Your Light” is a story that resembles us in those moments.
A star hidden in the darkness and a child who looks at the star as it is.
Their conversations are sometimes comforting, and at other times, they bring up long-forgotten questions. As I turn the pages, the simple truth that "it's okay not to shine" resonates with me.
Pictures that resemble other worlds also add to the lingering feeling.
A fairy tale that can only be understood when you become an adult.
This book gives us the courage to rediscover our lost light and live at our own pace.
