Description
Book Introduction
The comfort of home that fills my sometimes empty heart
- A daily record of a city dweller who lives without a job
An essay by editor Mu-Gwa-Su, who presents the "comfort of home" to the public through content that records scenes inside and outside the home and inspires daily life.
"Hello, Home," which captures aspects of life that are considered meaningful, is organized in the order of summer, fall, winter, and spring, like a playlist for the four seasons.
Through writing and photos that convey a simple yet strong sense of life, it provides unexpected comfort to those who feel life is difficult.
His records, which do not separate the ideal from the everyday, cherish every moment, and believe in the power of a 'day' built up with sincerity, are a true 'art of everyday life' for city dwellers.

Into the book
“It’s been a long time since I had a cup of tea.
The color of the jug filled with hot water gradually darkens.
I want to drink it cold, so I put in a lot of ice, but it disappears like melting snow at a fast rate.
Something that is hot needs some time to cool down.
It ended up being a somewhat awkward temperature, neither here nor there, but I thought this wasn't too bad.
(…)not bad, not good, just right.
How can life be either cold or hot every day?
“Maybe this is just another normal day.”
“I’ve often heard the phrase ‘blooming flowers and bearing fruit,’ but this was the first time I witnessed the process firsthand.
“It seems that there is a lot more we don’t know than we think.”
“Once you start thinking of something as a problem, there is nothing that isn’t a problem.
If you go all the way and nothing good comes out of it, you should stop.
Change your thinking frequency for a moment and focus on living your ordinary daily life well.
“Even if that’s all I can do, that’s okay.”
“As always, I go to bed early, wake up early, and go for a walk.
When I come back, I drink warm tea and read a book.
Even when I go on a trip, I spend my time naturally, not much different from my usual daily life.
Having good habits can help you have a peaceful time wherever you are.
“In the end, what mattered wasn’t where it was.”
“Usually, we choose to add something in order to ‘change’.
But an easier and more certain way is to reduce the bad.”
“I tried to remember what was so difficult last winter, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t remember.
“If you look at the seasons, it’s natural for flowers to bloom and fall depending on the time, but I feel embarrassed for no reason, wondering why I always tried so hard to stay blooming.”

Publisher's Review
A warm greeting to those who feel life is difficult.
“Hello everyone?”
Editor Mu-Gwa-Su's essay, which records the scenery inside and outside the home and provides the public with "the comfort of home" through content that inspires daily life, has been published by Wisdom House.
The name ‘Mugwasu’ is a combination of ‘mu’, meaning to touch, and ‘gwasu’, meaning a tree that bears fruit. It contains the meaning of wanting to use one’s talents to comfort people’s hearts.
The author, who talked about a life of wandering while running the official blog of 'Airbnb' and about a life of staying while working as an editor of 'Today's House', sends warm greetings to readers through 'Hello, Home'.
In the hope that city dwellers who have settled down in the cozy nest of their homes in the city center and are living a life of 'well-fed, healthy, and peaceful life,' I am revealing my daily life records from the past four years.
All in all, just an ordinary day
Daily records that turned my days into the best days.
“I cry and laugh easily over simple things.
A sky with a beautiful sunset, a healthy meal that gives you energy, and something that doesn't pass the season.
I'm already happy with that.
Where am I running so hard towards now?
When I asked myself, there really wasn't a reason for that.”_ 「Reason」
When your mind becomes heavy, even things that were usually easy to do become burdensome.
Even tasks like cleaning, preparing meals, taking a light walk, meditating briefly, reading, or stretching feel like heavy homework.
Life is a series of moments where you feel like you can do anything, but then you feel like you can't do anything.
He, too, had many things he missed out on after a hard day, but what helped him look back on the passing time was none other than the diary he had kept since middle school, or in other words, a record.
'The gentle sunlight on my face when I open my eyes in the morning, the moment I finish washing the dishes and take a cool shower before stepping out to enjoy the breeze from the fan, the small terrace where I dry my laundry under the yellow sunlight, the soup and stew made by boiling hard vegetables' - these everyday scenes were enough to comfort my weary heart, and I started leaving traces in words and photos to remember those moments.
Reading a book makes us realize how valuable and beautiful the daily routines we pass by without a second thought are.
Happiness and joy hidden in ordinariness are revealed.
The author's heart is fully conveyed as he confesses that 'what fills the empty heart sometimes is the extremely ordinary daily life that I had missed while living a hectic life.'
So that I can spend more time living my own life and being happy in my own way,
- City Life's Mu-Gwa-Su's 'Four Seasons Playlist'
“I suddenly wish I could live a life where I could take better care of the seasons.
May I live more enjoying the happiness that has been granted to me now.
“I wanted to live a life where I take the lead and welcome the seasons, rather than living hurriedly as they come.” - “Peach”
The book is filled with the daily lives of city dwellers who say they are too busy filling their daily lives with small joys to feel anxious.
This is the secret to a solid life that is not swayed by the standards or pace set by others, and a message of comfort to those who feel that their days are shabby.
In particular, seeing how faithfully we record and carefully observe the time given for this simple happiness makes us feel grateful for our daily lives.
Present anxiety and dissatisfaction are reduced in the face of the ordinary and certain happiness that comes from the flow of time and seasons, which are given equally to everyone.
The healthy energy generated through ordinary daily activities such as preparing food with seasonal ingredients, tidying up the surroundings on time to avoid unnecessary consumption, and opening the door in the morning and evening to move the body lightly gives readers vitality and liveliness.
The author's perspective is added to the unique mood of each season, and the scattered happiness of everyday life is put together like a puzzle.
'The seasons will surely pass.
Just knowing that it will pass won't change anything, but just knowing that there will be an end is comforting, as the author says. If we enjoy the daily life that has been given to us, moments of happiness may already be right next to us.
