The Birth of a Full-Fledged School Mystery Novel

As the title suggests, the novel features the main character, Eunyoung Ahn, a health teacher at a private high school.
Although she has an ordinary job and an ordinary name, Ahn Eun-young is no ordinary school nurse.
Born with a natural talent, she diligently serves her role as a 'school nurse', while also faithfully fulfilling her destiny as an 'exorcist', dealing with and exorcising things that only she can see, or occasionally comforting them.
Here, the enormous energy flowing through Hong In-pyo, a Chinese teacher at a private M high school and a descendant of the school's founder, serves as an essential nutrient that helps Ahn Eun-young perform well.
In order to replenish their energy (Qi) and keep the peace at school, the two have no choice but to join hands and join forces.
Strange monsters appearing before them, mysterious phenomena observed by the students, strange forces hidden throughout the school… What secrets does the private M High School hold?
Above all, how will the relationship between Ahn Eun-young and Hong In-pyo end?


The Birth of the Lively, Brave, and Affectionate Character, Ahn Eun-young

Eunyoung Ahn is an exorcist and psychic who has seen things that others cannot see since she was young.
Although she seems like a character with a dark and cold side, Ahn Eun-young is a woman who has a unique personality as a human being and a sense of professionalism as a teacher before she becomes a typical exorcist.
She is a strong female character who possesses both liveliness and strength, comicality and courage, a trait that has not been easily found in Korean novels to date.
Ahn Eun-young fights off evil spirits and ghosts with a plastic knife and a BB gun, and runs around in slippers.
When I'm in a hurry, I run barefoot until my stockings rip.
He listens to students' concerns without hesitation and guides students who seem to be going astray in his own way.
He mercilessly punishes monsters who harm people and those who abuse their power, but he also knows how to quietly comfort souls with stories.

Letter from the author

When I first wrote this short story on an autumn night in 2010, with a sense of joy and speed, I had no idea it would become a series of novels in 2014 and a drama in 2020.
As the people who first read it, who were middle school students, have become full-fledged adults, the novel seems to have grown and matured as well.
Looking back, I realized that 『School Nurse Ahn Eun-young』 contained topics I wanted to write about for the rest of my life.
Ahn Eun-young is the protagonist who gazes at the beauty of fragile beings for a long time and asks which direction she should walk in order to fight complex battles without tiring.
I hope that my friend, who runs with a lifetime of questions to answer in his pocket, will be a good friend to those who read it.
I hope that An Eun-young, who is calm and composed, will guard my bedside with a rainbow sword and a toy gun.
Especially on days when the world feels like it's broken, when you feel like you're being consumed endlessly, when the loneliness that no one else can understand weighs heavily on you, I've always believed that you need book friends as much as human friends.
