Easy-to-find wildflower guide
Description
Book Introduction
A wildflower paradise created with pure passion
All the wildflowers you're looking for are here!

This book is not intended strictly for academic purposes, but rather is a wildflower guide designed to satisfy the overflowing curiosity of wildflower enthusiasts.
The purpose is to make their existence widely known by properly calling out the names of the countless wild flowers that bloom in the fields and mountains across the country.
The author was upset that these wildflowers were simply dismissed as weeds, and so he became involved with wildflowers in the hope of learning more about them.
Believing that the owners of this land are the people who settled here before humans even existed, I have spent over ten years searching for wild flowers, trying not to damage the land and environment where they live.
『Easy-to-find Wildflower Guide』 is a selection of wild flower photos collected through such active hobbies.
In fact, as I was trying to create a field guide, I found myself unfamiliar with many plant-related terms, but I believe that my pure passion will be able to properly satisfy the needs of other pure wildflower enthusiasts.

Chapter 1 is “Wildflowers You Can Find Around the House.”
When people think of wildflowers, they usually think of them as flowers that grow in the mountains or fields, but these days, it is not difficult to see these wildflowers growing in apartment complexes, on asphalt roads, or even between the cracks in the sidewalk blocks in the middle of the city.
This chapter contains 112 species of wildflowers that can be found relatively easily even in the city where we live.

Chapter 2 is “Wildflowers You Can Find in the Mountains and Fields.”
For those who forage for wildflowers, their bodies start to ache as the year turns and a new year begins.
In some areas of the southern islands and the east coast, the 'revenge grass' buds burst open before January is over, tempting them.
This chapter contains 658 species of wildflowers that can be found mainly in the mountains and fields from spring to fall.

Chapter 3 is “Wildflowers You Can Find at the Water’s Edge.”
As with all plants, those that grow in water or near water (wetlands) play a particularly important role in maintaining ecological balance in the natural environment.
This chapter contains 126 species of wildflowers that can be found mainly in water, watersides (wetlands), and tidal flats.

Chapter 4 is about “wild grasses that take root in the ground and live.”
As his interest in wildflowers grew, the author said that at some point, even after work, he would spend at least two or three hours exploring nearby mountain slopes and fields, and became interested in plants other than the typical wildflowers.
This chapter contains 99 species of grasses, cycads, and rhizomes that the author encountered along the way.

Chapter 5 is "The Oldest Fern on Earth."
Ferns are the oldest and most primitive plants with vascular bundles in their tissues, and there are about 10,000 species of ferns on Earth.
It is estimated that there are about 350 species native to Korea, and this chapter includes 22 species that are relatively easy to distinguish, including 'Gwanjung', which has a rather majestic appearance.

Publisher's Review
A world of wild flowers, peering intently
Just call their names and they will all bloom!

It is known that this land is home to approximately 5,000 species of wildflowers, each with unique ecological characteristics adapted to the climate and soil of each region.
This book contains 1,017 species centered around 'wild flowers'. In the text, only the characteristic parts of each wildflower are briefly described, and efforts are made to reveal the origins of the wildflowers' names as much as possible.
It is to properly call out the names of those who settled here before us.
Wildflowers are simple, yet they bloom silently next to us every year with strong vitality.
However, in recent years, the environment in which they live has been gradually shrinking, and some species are endangered, and some can no longer be seen in the wild.
The main reason is that their habitat has been taken away by industrialization and urbanization, as well as the changing living environment due to climate change. However, ironically, we often see cases where enthusiasts who go out to find wild flowers damage their habitats.
Therefore, the author warns against looking for wildflowers too early or in groups.

Shouldn't we cherish and protect them, the owners of this land, in their natural state so that more people can experience the beauty of wild flowers up close?
This guide also contains that purpose.
For those who love wildflowers and those who wish to begin a wildflower life, this book will serve as a sufficient guide to learn various information and gain experience through observation at exploration sites.
