Description
Book Introduction
“Even a novice teacher can become friends with edutech in just one day!”
“The perfect edtech guide for your classroom!”

This book is a follow-up guide for teachers who are hesitant to begin using unfamiliar technologies in a reality where it has become essential for teachers to develop digital literacy and the ability to utilize edutech to implement future education.
16 types of edtech tools, including Google Tools, ChatGPT, Padlet, Canva, and Suno, that current teachers have actually used in their classes, are explained step-by-step, from the basics like creating an account to applying them in class, so that you don't have to struggle alone. It presents a detailed process that is easy to follow and learn right away.
I am confident that even teachers accustomed to analog environments and those less confident in digital environments will find small successes as a first step toward change. Beyond simply acquiring skills, the process of sharing these experiences with students can expand into educational significance.

The six core competencies presented in the 2022 revised curriculum are no longer solely the responsibility of students. By observing teachers' attempts, students will learn new learning attitudes, and classrooms will become more vibrant spaces for communication.
I believe this book will lower the barrier to entry for edutech in real-world settings where people often struggle with the lingering worry of "I don't know where or how to start," while also instilling the courage and confidence to believe, "I can do it, too."
I hope that classes utilizing edutech will not simply teach technology, but rather preserve the essence of education, providing a new experience in which teachers and students can grow together.

Publisher's Review
A Friendly Guide for Teachers' First Steps in Digital
A new teaching paradigm that preserves the essence of education beyond technology.

This is a practical guide for teachers who have difficulty utilizing various edtech tools, including digital and AI.
This book aims to help teachers take their first steps into the world of edtech without burden by providing practical tools and case studies that can be used in class preparation and implementation.
In particular, tools were selected based on convenience, continuity, popularity, and economy, and organized so that anyone can easily access them.
It systematically covers four areas: a platform for interaction between students and teachers, learning management, content creation, and the use of generative AI. It goes beyond simply introducing functions and provides specific guidance on how to utilize them in class.

First, for teachers who are new to edutech, we will explain the basics.
It guides you step by step through the minor but essential steps, such as creating an account and installing basic programs.
To help you avoid being overwhelmed even if you're not good at handling technology, we've created a guide that's easy to follow by presenting examples of trial and error frequently encountered by actual teachers.

Second, we introduce digital tools that go beyond simple convenience and transform the class itself.
For example, collaborative document writing, real-time quizzes, and online discussion platforms encourage student participation and increase engagement in classes.
In this process, teachers naturally experience the role of facilitator rather than communicator.

Third, even when utilizing digital tools, the effectiveness of classes varies depending on how they are designed and operated.
It covers specific strategies that enable student-centered instruction and is rich in practical examples that can be applied directly in real classrooms, such as project-based assignments, group learning, and personalized feedback.

Fourth, it contains thoughts on how to grow as a teacher beyond just acquiring skills.
Digital literacy, data literacy, and creative problem-solving skills are essential not only for students but also for teachers.
It specifically suggests why teachers should become learners and researchers themselves and how they can practice learning methods to achieve this.

Beyond the digital capabilities of individual teachers, it is packed with practical ideas that can be applied to actual classes in schools.
Another significant feature is that only the essential functions are selected and introduced, taking into account the specificities of the educational field and the various situations of teachers.
The structure that allows teachers to study together or use it as workshop material also stands out.
This book is significant in that it is not simply a technical manual, but was written to provide teachers with new inspiration as they grow together with their students.

We wanted to show that utilizing edutech is no longer a challenge for a small number of teachers, but can become a universal teaching culture that anyone can participate in.
