Doubt prayer
Description
Book Introduction
If I ask, will you really give it to me? How can I ask without doubting?
A prayer lecture by Pastor Jinjun Noh, a renowned preacher who teaches with warmth and clarity.
“Prayer is a tense life before God, a life of repeated failures and successes.”
24 Prayer Questions, Examined by Basics, Situation, and Biblical Character
This is a prayer-themed book by Pastor Jinjun Noh, who is called the preacher of preachers and has answered the unanswered questions and discouragement of believers through his sermons and on CBS's 'Well-Being and Well-Living'.
Based on a unique biblical and logical rhetoric, it answers age-old questions such as, “Will God really give it to me if I ask?”, “How do I pray without worrying?”, and “Should I pray for my enemies?”, helping believers develop a deeper relationship with God.
From questions about specific prayers, speaking in tongues, and laying on of hands to Hezekiah's prayers to God while sick, the prayers of the easily forgiven wicked Manasseh, and Jesus' prayers in the Garden of Gethsemane amidst his anguish and sorrow, 24 topics on prayer are organized by basic prayer skills, situations, and biblical characters.
This book, which meticulously interprets the changing meaning of the Bible with each word and plural expression, dispels misunderstandings, and reinforces the framework for prayer, will provide those who are just beginning to pray with an opportunity to rediscover prayer, and for those who long to pray, it will offer a place for deeper prayer, where a new relationship with God begins.

Into the book
Being the best in the world, living well, or living comfortably without pain is not the ultimate desire of a Christian.
The ultimate desire of a Christian is to be the joy of the Lord and to enjoy the Lord who is his joy.
--- p.24
When you pray, you must never doubt, but pray only with faith.
We should pray not with the assurance that God will surely give us what we ask for, but with the assurance that Almighty God is good and will never give up on us or forsake us.
--- p.35
The ultimate purpose of prayer is not to eliminate suffering or shorten the time of suffering, but to walk with God and enjoy His presence even in the midst of suffering.
If so, we can never stop praying.
--- p.43
Prayer is not just a way to control your mind or solve problems.
Prayer is the struggle to pull down the finger that sticks out in front of our eyes and see God beyond it.
--- p.53
Prayer is not just a request.
Prayer is not a polite request.
Prayer is not a polite request to be made to a powerful person.
Prayer is a right.
Prayer is a special right given only to children.
--- p.87
I believe forgiveness is a legal matter, not an emotional one.
So, the meaning of the word 'forgive' is not 'to become friends again', but 'to decide not to retaliate in the same way as was done to you'.
--- p.128
I hope that the prayer for unity will not be a selfish prayer, but a prayer of true reconciliation, forgiveness, approaching one another, and embracing one another.
To become one in this way requires wisdom and patience, but above all, it requires evangelical passion and freedom to see unity from a completely different perspective.
--- p.153
Every time we pray, we must have a correct understanding of the One who hears our prayers, and a correct attitude that stems from that understanding.
The formality of prayer does not simply mean outward appearances or formalities, but rather the attitude of the heart toward the object.
--- p.179
When we are in pain or struggling, we pray to God to help us.
Sometimes God forces us to pray forcefully.
And through that prayer, God does God's work.
So, we come before God in prayer with our desires, but I think the deepest desire in our hearts is for God's will to be fulfilled through our lives.
--- p.196
God will accomplish His plan even without prayer.
However, those who pray can experience God's guidance.
--- p.247
Through the privilege of prayer, we approach God with immediate desires and pray.
But deep down, our true desire is for God to guide our lives according to His good and wise will.
So after we pray earnestly for our desires, we pray, “But if not.”
The ultimate desire of a Christian is to be the joy of the Lord and to enjoy the Lord who is his joy.

Publisher's Review
“Even in the midst of repeated doubts, we still pray
“Thank you, Jesus Christ, for the victory of His grace.”
Includes 24 prayers read along with the author's prayer notes and written by readers.
We find prayer difficult.
I don't know what to pray for in front of God who knows everything, and I sometimes lose the will to continue praying, as if praying is a monologue in front of a wall.
This book acknowledges the importance and necessity of prayer, and believes in its power, but it neither offers model answers nor offers formulaic advice to those who still find prayer difficult.
It simply provides an opportunity to pause and reflect on your prayer life and relationship with God.
Prayer is not a tranquilizer that gives peace or a means of making demands on God, but rather a way to walk with God and enjoy His presence even in times of suffering.
Ultimately, through this book, which teaches us that only those who pray can experience God, we will pray with the conviction that God will not abandon us, beyond the certainty that He will surely grant us what we ask for.
Additionally, the book includes 24 types of 'prayer notes' written by the author and 'prayer texts' for readers to use as they learn in each chapter.
Pastor Noh Jin-jun's insightful, warm, and biblical prayer lectures will inspire you to continue praying even when you feel discouraged or your situation doesn't change.
I know the importance of prayer, I recognize its necessity, and I believe in its power, but prayer is still difficult for me.
I've been praying for quite some time, but I still don't know how to empathize with prayer, how to maintain a cool head, or what kind of prayer is appropriate.
This book is not a success story of my prayer life.
However, I don't want to call this book a story of my failed prayer life.
…we pray.
No, I try to pray.
It's not that we doubt the necessity or importance of prayer or the promises of God, but rather that we struggle not to miss the place of prayer and constantly question our hearts in order to offer the right prayers before God.
I hope this book will serve as a source of relatable concern for many who find prayer difficult.
