Having built his career in first-class hotel restaurants and fine dining restaurants both domestically and internationally, and having also taught at a university for 10 years, one might think he was a chef born with a silver spoon in his mouth who had followed an elite course, but that is not the case at all.
During his freshman year of high school, he started working in the kitchen at a franchise pizza place to save up money to buy a motorcycle, and chose a vocational school because his family's financial situation was too poor to pay for college tuition.
The driving force that allowed Chef Park Min-hyeok to reach this point is his curiosity, passion for cooking, and spirit of challenge.
The reason I opened Wine Bar Kick and started my journey as a YouTuber is because I constantly pursue new things.
There is absolutely no need to feel pressured just because the food is prepared by a chef who has been actively working in the field for over 20 years.
This is because I tried to be as restrained and relaxed as possible to match the eye level of the general public.
But there is one crucial point in the attack chef's cooking.
We call it a 'kick'.
Even if you use everyday ingredients and commercially available sauces, if you add your own kick, you can transform them into a completely new and special dish, 'faster than anyone else, different from others.'
