The Future School Created by Teachers in the AI Era
In the age of artificial intelligence, teachers create the future of schooling.
Description
Book Introduction
Education has the mission of nurturing future generations.
Education is about developing the skills needed now, as well as the capabilities to prepare for a changing future, and nurturing the generation that will lead that future.
The rapid changes we face, represented by artificial intelligence, pose new questions for many responsible for education.
What does change look like now, where is the new change headed, and how should we educate future generations and what capabilities should they possess?
What kind of better teaching and learning can be achieved by leveraging such changes, and how can it be achieved?
These interests and questions are not limited to specific subjects or fields such as mathematics or science.
We must explore the possibilities for students to comprehensively question, find direction, and develop their capabilities in all subjects they learn and master.

This book, which started from such a problem awareness, is organized into three areas.
One topic was “Future Education in the Age of Artificial Intelligence,” and it covered future education and teachers’ lesson design across all subjects.
Another topic is “Artificial Intelligence and Curriculum Education.”
We examined the present and future of classroom instruction utilizing artificial intelligence and cutting-edge technologies in each subject: foreign language, geography, mathematics, science, and physical education.
Lastly, under the theme of “Limitations and Implications of Artificial Intelligence,” we organized a sociological perspective on the current artificial intelligence technology, collectively referred to as the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and discussed the possibilities and limitations of artificial intelligence that should be considered from an educational perspective.
In addition, it proposed a sober assessment of the various experiments and discussions currently taking place surrounding artificial intelligence and educational reflections on restoring human subjectivity.
