This book is a testimony and witness to the existence, work, and faithfulness of God, and is a true story based on actual events.

Deacon Eun-su Lim, the author of this book, explains his motivation for writing this book as follows:


"The reason I wrote this book was to testify and bear witness to the existence, work, and faithfulness of God.
God is alive and appears in our lives and works personally.
The living God appeared in our family life, accomplished many things, and comforted us.
He is also a faithful person who has kept the ‘words of promise’ that He sent to our family.


In particular, He gave me the grace to be happy even in my poverty and to pray with peace, joy, and gratitude. He not only guided my wandering husband back to the embrace of his family, but also transformed him into a new person.


God also gave me the ability to share the gospel with my transformed husband, and especially gave me the grace to share the gospel of the cross with inmates in prisons and detention centers.
And to testify to the warm grace of God, He allowed me to appear on 'CBS, Renew' and to publish a book of testimonies, 'The Gift of the Prodigal Son' (Bethany Publishing), which records the gifts of grace I received from God.

Not only did God grant our family a new home, but He also gave us an unexpected piece of land in Sejong City.
All of this is difficult to explain without the grace and work of God.


Many other graces of God were bestowed upon my husband and our family.
