Sticky feeling
Description
Book Introduction
“Stick or fall Meeting the Lord in any environment “It is the greatest blessing in life.” “If you stick together, repent, and if you fall apart, be thankful. “It is the mission given to me and God’s salvation.” The name “Kkothoetteulgam” is a combination of the first letters of each phrase in “If you stick, repent; if you fall, be thankful.” It is not “Thank you if you stick with it, repent if you fall.” The world will never understand this, but Pastor Kim Yang-jae, the author of this book, says that the principle of 'repentance' is contained in the Bible. Then why should we repent when we stick together and be thankful when we fall apart? The author says that if you live a life of constant attachment, you can easily fall into the swamp of the delusion that you can live well without God. Therefore, the moment something is accomplished, we must first repent so as not to become arrogant or lazy. On the other hand, the more we fall, are rejected, and fail, the more we are told to hold on to God. For there is no greater blessing than hearing the word of God through the suffering that comes from falling. This book contains the author's sermon message of 'sticking to one's knees' and the stories of our church members who lived by the values of 'sticking to one's knees'. Therefore, I recommend reading this book not only to teenagers preparing for college entrance exams, but also to young adults who are passing numerous exams. Throughout our lives, we will continue to experience ups and downs, whether it be college entrance exams, employment, marriage, or illness. But we don't have to boast about being attached, nor do we have to stumble about being dropped. Whether you stick with it or fall, all you have to do is grab hold of the 'timing and opportunity' that God gives you. In conclusion, meeting the Lord in any environment is the greatest blessing in life. Are you facing a major life challenge? I hope you can successfully navigate all of life's challenges with the values of "sticking to one's heart." |

Into the book
“If you continue to live a life of constant attachment, it is easy to fall into the swamp of the delusion that you can live well without God.
Therefore, we must repent of the moment when we try to exalt ourselves above God.
“As you get into college, your business prospers, and everything else becomes successful, you should not become complacent, but rather, face the dust and repent.”
--- p.95
“I thought I would be just happy when I heard the news of passing.
But instead, repentance came.
This is because I remembered my hypocritical self, asking people to pray only when there was a big competition or a practical exam, and only seeking God when my parents were fighting and I was having a hard time.
“I truly repent because I feel like God put me through trials because I was so weak and I was afraid that I would turn away from Him, blaming my parents, my environment, and myself.”
--- p.105
“Don’t be discouraged or disheartened just because the road is blocked or you’ve fallen right now.
Rather, it is during times of famine that we find ourselves in the best time to meet God.
“The more you fall, the more you will see the kingdom of God working in the midst of it.”
--- p.114
“I have confessed my sins of not being able to enjoy my time as a student due to my obsession and causing hardship to my family, and I repent.
Afterwards, I applied repentance and was grateful for what was left of me, and did my best to prepare for the early admissions process, but I failed the early admissions process at two universities.
However, I was thankful because I interpreted it as God’s will for me to hold on to His word and get through each day well during the remaining entrance exam period.”
--- p.139
“God did not set me up as a model of everything going well, but as a model of being happy and thankful even when things don’t go well.
And that is what truly testifies to God.
“Because when you show that you are still working happily and faithfully, even if you fail an exam or are passed over for a promotion, the gospel is spread through that.”
--- p.143
“It’s not a feat to just fall down.
Even if the hardship of falling and falling comes, it must come to me as a limiting situation, as the final judgment.
Otherwise, the kingdom of God cannot be established within me.”
--- p.181
“There is no greater blessing than hearing God’s word through a falling event.
Because when things are interpreted through words, there is nothing that cannot be solved.
“When we fall, we come to believe in God and follow Him even more, so suffering truly becomes an event of salvation.”
