Into the book
They say that the new life of becoming a mother is the happiest path of following Jesus.
The path of following Jesus, who came to this earth to serve, is by no means an easy path for us sinners to walk.
But when you become a mother, you get to practice walking that path happily.
You learn through your children that you are willing to make sacrifices because you love them.

--- p.16~17

I wrote this book for moms like me.
And I wrote it down thinking of it as a letter to my precious daughter Eunha, who is now my child but will become my mother in the future.
I look forward to hearing more stories of faith from mothers who have become mothers through this book.
I hope this book will be a friend you can turn to whenever you feel like giving up on parenting or when you're lost and don't know what to do.

--- p.22

Therefore, parents who live under God's providence will not be greatly shaken even by sudden situations.
In this ever-changing era, there's no need to fret and worry about how to raise your children.
Because we believe in God's providence, we can do our best as parents and leave all the results to Him.
Since God is the ultimate sovereign, we can give up the desire to make our children our own creations and humbly entrust them to Him.
Because my children's future is not shaped solely by my own efforts, whenever I encounter my limitations, I do not become discouraged, but rather bow down and ask the Lord for help.
--- p.31

The field of raising and disciplining children in an orderly manner can sometimes be clumsy and inadequate.
But that's okay.
There will come a time when both parents and children will joyfully obey God and love and serve one another completely.
Let us not forget that obedience to the Lord, the King of kings, is the greatest blessing for us.
Let us not forget that it is also a grace to be able to serve and submit to one another in love.

--- p.44

Sanctification is not about becoming more morally mature or a better person through good habits or self-improvement.
Sanctification refers to the spiritual transformation of a soul that has met God.
True personality transformation occurs through sanctification.
We come to hate sin more and more, and we try not to sin anymore, and we seek righteousness and live in obedience.
Every moment we resolve to become more like Jesus, not only in parenting but in every area of our lives, begins and continues thanks to the grace of the Lord.

--- p.67~68

When faced with career decisions for your children or parents, you don't have to fret, wondering, "What has God called us to do?" as if He's hiding His vocational aspirations from you.
God does not keep His will hidden and wait for us to find it.
He has revealed His will clearly and explicitly through the Bible.
Anything that allows us to serve our neighbors and do things with them is a calling from the Lord.
--- p.80

Even after becoming a mother, let us not cease our holy fellowship.
Now that I am a mother, my burden has become heavier, but the more I yearn for the fellowship of the saints, the more earnestly I will be able to do so.
The church community is a body of members who share the body and blood of Christ, and a family who looks in the same direction as me and lives as strangers on this earth.

--- p.158

Some people worry that teaching children the Apostles' Creed, the Lord's Prayer, and the Ten Commandments too early in life, or that it is too rigid a religious education.
But if you teach them this well, your children will be able to have a solid faith based on the Bible from an early age, rather than just a vague belief.
Believers will be able to correctly recognize what they should hope for in life and whom and how they should love.
Above all, you will be able to live with the correct knowledge of God.

Publisher's Review
This book contains the author's parenting stories, both doctrinally and practically.
The first half explains important concepts of faith that mothers need to know to raise their children in faith, using the Bible and doctrine.
The second half introduces practical methods of teaching children about the Word, prayer, and worship.
It provides detailed information on various educational know-hows based on the author's experience.
These contents are based on what the author has shared with many people through Onlib, a good faith habit community and online ministry where he has served for a long time.

The areas the author focuses on in his ministry are family worship and Bible reading.
The good religious habits that should be displayed in a family of faith are worship and the Word.
The author, a pastor's wife, a mother of two, and a businesswoman, is incredibly busy, yet she diligently serves the Onlib ministry and dedicates herself to building the faith of countless families, including her own.

The power that sustains this author is the grace of God's providence.
This is clearly demonstrated in the book's first chapter, "Can I Raise a Child Well When Providence Is Needed?"
In this book, which covers various doctrines and concepts of faith, the author first introduces the doctrine of providence.
Providence refers to God's will and God's rule.
The rule of Almighty God is the greatest assurance and peace for believers.
The future of believers in this providence is neither dark nor bleak.
In the harsh realities of parenting, the author was always grateful for the grace of providence, and because of this, she was able to always live in peace and confidence.
I think what the author wanted to emphasize through this book was ultimately the grace of providence, the grace that governs and protects all of our thoughts, hearts, and reality.

A mother is truly special and precious.
A mother is a truly noble being who holds life, more precious than the world, and connects that life to the world.
The effort of a mother who risks her life to conceive a new life is so sublime that it cannot be compared to anything else in the world.
It reminds me of Jesus who gave his life to save humanity.
Mothers deserve more respect than anyone else on this earth.

The author's suggestions do not simply remain within the confines of writing and knowledge.
The author's enlightenment has always been on the spot.
Self-reflection blossomed amidst failure and frustration, and the comfort and assurance the author enjoyed amidst it all was thanks to the Word and doctrine that he never let go of, no matter the circumstances.
I believe that the 'good religious habits' that the author always emphasizes made this possible.

How can our children come to know and enjoy God's grace? Children learn faith through their parents' lives, more than any other teaching.
A mother's (father's) noble heart and devotion toward her children, and the 'good religious habits' maintained through any difficulties, will protect the children and our families.
Let us listen carefully to the author's suggestions in this book.
