People say we need to go back to the early church.
However, not many people know what the early church was like.
The “IVP 1st Century Christian Series” includes “The Story of the 1st Century Church Worship,” which recreated the early church based on historical data and was selected as the Book of the Year in 2017, “The Story of a Day in the Life of a 1st Century Christian,” the second book in the 1st Century Christian series that continues with “Worship-Daily Life-Mission,” and “The Story of a 1st Century Christian’s Mission,” which concludes the series! This series was planned to open up the power of the gospel to modern Christians anew through the worship of the early church, which dynamically revealed the essence of the gospel and the church, and the lives of 1st century Christians living their daily lives.

The author, a gifted storyteller and renowned New Testament scholar, vividly portrays the worship scene of the early church and how Christians lived "outside" church gatherings in these books.

While 『A Story of a First-Century Church Service』 describes the strange experiences of the protagonist Publius, who attended a new religious gathering in Rome, 『A Day in the Life of a First-Century Christian』 describes the protagonist's acceptance of the group's creed and the changes that began to appear in various areas of his life as a result.
Despite its short length, it vividly shows how the church and Christians who believe in the gospel should live.
It focuses on the way the early Christians lived out the gospel in each specific area of ​​life, including slaves and masters, women and men, poor and rich, children and adults and the elderly, family and singleness, vocation and calling and status, the Lord's Supper and baptism, arguments and mediation, meals and the Lord's Supper, as well as home and children, clothing and hairstyles, decorations, talismans, same-sex relationships, marital relationships, obscenity, gender, work, credit, politics, workplace, QT, idols, persecution, and relief.


The author, who emphasized in the previous chapter that there can be no separation between faith and daily life, says in "The Missionary Story of First-Century Christians" that "God's mission" is possible in all aspects of daily life.
The early Christians and their companions not only faced the occasional danger of epidemic disease, but were also constantly exposed to the danger of reprisals from their opponents.
