Isn't that how development is done?
Development, isn't that how it's done?
Description
Book Introduction
“Is development really just a language for experts?”

If you've ever felt lost between cost, time, and development quality, this guide will help you unravel the confusion.
We encounter ‘development’ every day.
Whether it's implementing a new system, leveraging automation tools, or collaborating with your team.
But in reality, many projects fail.
The reason is not a lack of technology, but a gap between managers and developers who speak different languages.

"Development, Isn't That How It's Done?" is filled with wisdom gleaned from hundreds of project experiences and trial and error.
The importance of design learned from the case of architectural collapse, the characteristics of programming languages explained through the metaphor of hamburgers and chefs, and the differences in management and technology perspectives revealed through collaboration on AI projects.
By breaking down complex concepts into accessible terms, it demonstrates that development is ultimately about “designing a better tomorrow.”
As you turn the pages, you will realize:
Development is not just about writing code, it's about discovering and solving problems, and changing people and the world.

This book is a guide for anyone who needs to develop, even if they are not a developer.
For practitioners, it offers freedom from repetitive labor, for managers, it offers a perspective on value creation rather than cost, and for developers, it offers a sense of pride as creators. Ultimately, it offers practical methods for successful collaboration and growth. "Development, Isn't That How It's Done?" will help you design the right start and finish to prevent your project from failing.

Into the book
Developers are not just 'technicians' who handle technology; they are 'creators' and 'pioneers' who bring about change in the world by turning their ideas into reality.

Development thus serves as a powerful lever for explosively increasing human productivity.

Development is an investment that initially requires a significant amount of time and resources, which is a 'minus'.
Building new systems or automating existing processes requires significant cost and effort.
But once this investment is complete, the effect is not simply 'addition' but 'multiplication'.

The biggest reason AI projects fail isn't a lack of technical skills.
This is because of the deep 'difference in perspective' between developers and managers.

You need to understand why it worked so well so you can reproduce it again.
Otherwise, it will just remain as a “lucky accident” that happened just because you were lucky.
While lucky moments feel good and give us a dopamine rush, we can't rely on just one lucky moment.

To create a culture of sustainable development, an analysis of “why these results occurred” is essential.

A truly talented person is someone who can share their knowledge.
Those who only accumulate knowledge grow only as individuals, but those who share knowledge grow along with the organization.
One of my favorite sayings is, “Those who know speak.
There is a saying, “Those who truly know teach.”

Dialogue is not simply a “request,” but a process of mutual understanding.
The most important thing in conversations with developers is to be clear about “what you want” and explain “why you need it.”

A good conversation conveys not only requirements but also priorities and context.
This allows developers to suggest the most technically efficient method.

Outsourcing development costs aren't just money that disappears; they're a crucial investment in making your dreams and vision a reality.
