Book Introduction
"The Tale of the Three Kings" alone is enough to excite many readers, as is Jean Edwards' book.
This book depicts the unfolding of God's vision of great love, which began before the creation of this world, when God alone was all that existed, through Jean Edwards's characteristic literary imagination and reconstructed biblical texts.

Publisher's Review
There are vague concepts that have taken root in our heads in the midst of our familiar church life.
The being called 'God' is personal and loving.
The instrument of execution called the ‘cross’—a confirmation of God’s love.
The hope of the 'second coming of Jesus' - when that day comes, something indescribably good will happen.
We use these concepts and terms familiarly, and sometimes even explain or help others understand them, but if we think about it carefully and honestly, how much do we really 'realize' about them?
If a proposition is a two-dimensional plane, a narrative is a three-dimensional space that is difficult to organize, but has a three-dimensional feel.
Propositional doctrines provide well-organized answers, but they do not enable us to experience and live them out in our lives.
However, stories that touch our hearts or experiences that are clearly imprinted on our flesh convey a message that changes our actions as a 'story'.
If we reconstruct the stories in the Bible, which are written in somewhat difficult texts, in our own way, we can sometimes discover deeper messages.
So, indeed, “narratives are powerful.”
My heart started pounding as I read the first few pages of this book.
Oh my goodness, Gene Edwards' writing portrays the creation of man so captivatingly.
The deep inner thoughts of a personal God (of course, how can we know everything, but even a small part of it...) can be touched like this.
I couldn't calm down, as if I had just tasted an exciting love story that was about to begin.
“A really good book is one that I would want to give as a gift to my friends.
“I have more than a dozen friends I would like to give this book to.” ― Ross Linker
It keeps coming to my mind.
People I would like to gift this book to.
Friends who have been in church for a long time but find it difficult to personally encounter God; juniors who lack confidence in the power of the cross; seniors who have grown somewhat jaded about God's love; friends who harbor a vague antipathy toward Christianity; friends who harbor a vague zeal for the church...
May they, too, read this book and participate in God's great work of love, so that their spirits, restored by the Holy Spirit, may enter into the glorious new creation, fully restored and completely renewed, on the last day, when the victorious Lord takes His bride! And may they truly long for that day on this earth, living each day with the strength to boldly live in the present, seeing the bigger picture!
