Into the book
There are three texts in the tradition of ancient Hebrew mysticism.
First, there is the Book of the Law and Prophets, which we know as the Old Testament.
And then there is the Talmud, which is a collection of scholarly commentaries on the Book of the Law and the Prophets.
Another is the Kabbalah, a mystical interpretation of the Law and the Prophets.
Regarding these three ancient texts, the rabbis say:
“The first book is the body of tradition, the second is the rational soul, and the third is the immortal spirit.
“The ignorant will benefit from reading the first book, the knowledgeable will study the second, and the wise will meditate deeply on the third.”

Among Western yoga

The essence of esoteric Kabbalah is to know the order in which the symbols on the Tree of Life are arranged.
This tree, or Etz Chayyim, is composed of the 'Ten Sacred Sephiroth' arranged according to certain rules, and the lines connecting them, the 32 Paths, called the 'Sepher Yetzirah', or 'Divine Emanations'.
(See Wescott's Sepher Yetzirah) Herein lies the first 'trap' aimed at the uninitiated.
If we count the paths on the Tree of Life one by one, the actual number of lines is not thirty-two, but only twenty-two.
The ancient rabbis treated each Sephiroth as a path in itself, confusing the uninitiated, and the rabbis themselves were said to have been very proud of this trap.
Therefore, the first ten paths of the Sepher Yetzirah correspond to the Ten Sephiroth, and the next twenty-two refer to the actual paths.

- 04 Among the secret Kabbalah

The most interesting and important aspect of the Tree of Life practice is the method involved in ritual magic or talisman magic.
This method is used to supplement what has been revealed through divination.
So to speak, each country in Geomancy, each card in Tarot, each element in the horoscope has a corresponding point on the path of the Tree of Life.
Occultists use this knowledge to perform magical rituals or create talismans to complement or reinforce certain findings from each divination.

Publisher's Review
Why do we need to know Kabbalah to understand Western philosophy?
Kabbalah, known as the traditional mysticism of Judaism, is a comparative philosophy of secret religion.
It is also a fascinating discipline that inspired famous scientists, artists, and philosophers of the time, such as Leonardo da Vinci and Newton.
The etymology of Kabbalah is the Hebrew word Qibel, which means 'to receive' or 'to take'. Here, 'to receive' and 'to take' refer to 'wisdom' that has been passed down from mouth to ear since ancient times.
So Kabbalah was transmitted orally from the master to a small number of selected disciples.
And Kabbalah developed through various historical periods in places such as ancient Egypt, Greece, Babylonia, and Rome.
That is why we cannot talk about Western philosophy without mentioning Kabbalah.

A treasure trove of Western philosophy, rich in humanities knowledge and practical experience.
"Mystical Kabbalah" is a book written by Dion Fortune, a member of the Golden Dawn and founder of The Society of the Inner Light, to help beginners understand Kabbalah more easily.
In 『Mystical Kabbalah』, numerous symbols from psychology, mythology, anthropology, philosophy, literature, economics, natural science, and even various proverbs and legends were used to make the previously vaguely difficult Kabbalah more familiar.
It also reveals 'keys' related to magic, alchemy, astrology, and tarot cards, based on the experiences of Dion Fortune, who was actually a magician.
It is both a theoretical and practical book, as it clearly explains the magical principles of summoning, talismans, incense, and gems.

In particular, most of the numerous symbols and examples that fill this book are set within the historical context of Dion Fortune's life and the spatial context of England.
The unique atmosphere and experimental ideas of the time include cases and claims that seem absurd from a modern perspective, but the living, breathing symbols and associations that transcend time and space not only help us understand this book, but also provide an exciting read that feels like reading a historical novel.

A bestseller that completely dissects the Tree of Life, or the Ten Sephiroth!
"Mystical Kabbalah" is a bestseller recognized by many occultists.
Because it is the most suitable introductory book for beginners to study and understand the basic concepts and theories of the Tree of Life.
In "Mystical Kabbalah," Dion Fortune explains the history and theory of Kabbalah, as well as the fundamentals of Western orthodox ceremonial magic that follows the Kabbalistic system.

First, Chapter 1 provides a general explanation of Western yoga and the Tree of Life.
It explains what Kabbalah is and how to study it, the basic concepts of Kabbalah, what the Tree of Life is, and the basic concepts of each Sephiroth within it and the important paths that connect them.
In the following chapters 2 and 3, the ten Sephiroth, from Kether to Malkuth, are numbered according to their arrangement in the Tree of Life.
Next, the concept contained in each Sephiroth is explained by listing each name, its original Hebrew spelling, magical imagery, titles, archangels, orders of angels, virtues or vices, each symbol system, and the hidden meanings and various symbol systems corresponding to the Tarot cards.
Next, by adding analysis for each item, appropriate examples, and concept organization, it kindly guides readers to reach some kind of enlightenment while reading.

A Journey Guide to Enlightenment, The Mystical Kabbalah
In his book, Mystical Kabbalah, Dion Fortune emphasized enlightenment through 'meditation' while revealing in detail the various symbolism contained in the Tree of Life, each of the Ten Sephiroth, and the paths connecting them, as well as the secrets contained within them.
The mythological background and tarot and astrological interpretations of each Sephiroth contained in this book are unparalleled.
As we journey through each symbol of the Tree of Life and the countless other symbols associated with it, we will find answers to the "something" that Leonardo da Vinci and Newton longed for.

I hope that through this book, countless people who have been unable to satisfy their intellectual desires will be able to take a step closer to enlightenment, and find the "answer" that comes to them like a flash of lightning.
We hope you have a safe and enjoyable journey through Western philosophy with Mystical Kabbalah.
