English Grammar for Old Daughters 1
Description
Book Introduction
- Those who are not good at English but want to start again
- Those who want to study conversation but are despairing because they lack the basics of English grammar
- People who get a headache from watching English grammar lectures
『God's English Grammar ①』, which you can't stop reading once you start
My daughter is the daughter of a mackerel family.
After his daughter's international marriage, her father started studying English to communicate with his foreign son-in-law.
My daughter had a hard time finding easy English content for her father on the market, so she created content to help her father learn English and started the [My daughter's English] blog.
The blog has accumulated 9 million views! Thousands of people, including self-proclaimed English aficionados like civil service candidates, office workers, college students, and housewives, have studied through the blog every day. Thanks to the enthusiastic response, Gottal's friendly English content has been published in six volumes.
『Gottal English Grammar ①』 kindly explains difficult and rigid English grammar one by one, like a formula.
The existing 『Golddaughter English Grammar Basics 1』 has been published as a revised edition, making it easier to upgrade.
You can review grammar content by solving 'quizzes' more thoroughly than in existing books, and by practicing applying grammar to sentences through '10 sentences a day', you will complete the basics of English grammar.

An English grammar book you can read from beginning to end!
How many English grammar books have you studied thoroughly? Unlike many rigid grammar books on the market, "Goddal English Grammar ①" explains grammar with easy and fun explanations, abundant examples, and engaging illustrations.
If you comfortably read the conversations between Mom and Daughter, Dad and Honey, and daughter Stella, you will naturally learn English grammar.
English grammar will be memorized naturally through dense repetition!
Each time you learn a concept, a quiz appears so you can test your skills.
For each unit, you can complete the grammar concept table through 'Head Pointing' and grasp the key points through 'Grammar Talk'.
It doesn't end here.
Through '10 Sentences a Day', you will apply grammar to sentences, and through 'Review Test', you will rewrite the sentences you learned the previous day.
Through this kind of tight repetition, you will experience the surprise of memorizing grammar on your own.
It's much more user-friendly than the existing 『Ggotddal English Grammar King Basics 1』!
『The Beginner's Guide to English Grammar, Part 1』, a bestseller loved by many readers, has been completely revised to make it easier, more fun, and more user-friendly.
The previously separately produced workbook was incorporated into the main book to increase the concentration of the learning flow.
With the introduction of new illustrations and daughter Stella, you will feel like you have become a member of the Goddal family as you study with the newly expanded 『Goddal English Grammar ①』.
My daughter's 5-step learning method for remembering English grammar
Step 1) Read the text and understand English grammar fluently!
Don't memorize English like a formula! As you read through Teacher Gottal's easy, fun explanations and plentiful examples, you'll naturally and fluently grasp English grammar.
With quizzes provided every time you learn a concept, there's no way your skills won't improve, right?
Step 2) Hit the key points with “Poke in the Head” and “Grammar Talk”!
Complete the grammar table in “Poke in the Head” and check the key points by having a grammar conversation with Teacher Gotttal in “Grammar Talk.”
If you just organize the things you absolutely need to know, your mind will feel clearer.
Step 3) Learn 10 sentences a day and use grammar!
If you only learn grammar and can't apply it to sentences, what's the point? Studying grammar isn't just about grammar, it's about applying it to real-world situations! Only by applying grammar to sentences does it truly become your own.
Step 4) Review what you learned the previous day every day with the “Review TEST”!
If you don't learn and review grammar, you'll be stuck! Each unit comes with a review sentence test.
If you review what you learned the day before, you will naturally remember the grammar for a long time!
Step 5) Check your skills with the 〈Comprehensive TEST〉!
Just when you're about to forget what you've learned, a comprehensive test appears. Take the test questions, complete sentences, and test your skills! Master the fundamentals of grammar without missing a single thing!
Author's Note
Are you having a headache because of English? I was too.
When I was young, I studied English normally at school. I just studied English as one of my subjects to do well on exams.
Then I went to college and took my first conversation class.
I was really shocked.
“I learned English in school, but I can’t even speak a single word properly!”
After that, I chose the English department because I thought I needed to study English more, and I went to New Zealand as an exchange student because I wanted to study in an English-speaking country.
As I began my university life abroad, I was once again in for a huge shock.
No! I've been studying hard for the TOEFL and taking conversation classes, but I'm having trouble understanding the lectures and communicating with the locals even more.
But I didn't give up at that time and continued to study, and I think I tried everything that was good for conquering English at least once.
After a long period of hard work, I became comfortable with English, and I began to dream of helping people who, like me, were despairing because of their English.
To achieve my dream, I have continuously studied and gained experience at the forefront of English education.
Then in 2013! I married a New Zealander.
A lot of things have changed.
The biggest change was that my father started studying English to become closer to his son-in-law.
My father asked me to recommend a book to help him organize his English grammar.
When I actually went to the bookstore and looked at the books, there weren't any books that were at my father's level.
There were a lot of books that were exam-oriented, and the grammar explanations seemed too complicated.
So, I created my own English blog, Gottal English, and started posting English grammar content.
But surprisingly, many people studied together through the blog, and the blog content was turned into a book.
It's already been six years since my first book came out! In the meantime, I've moved to New Zealand and become a mother.
Becoming a mother gave me new concerns.
Teaching my daughter both Korean and English! I hoped that when she grows up, she'd be able to study Korean and English using "Gottal English Grammar."
We have returned to the basics and published a revised edition.
I hope this book will be an oasis for those who want to start studying English anew.
