This book has been further refined from existing ISP establishment practice manuals to facilitate the smooth work of those involved in planning and consulting in the IT field.
We sought to supplement various cases and contents, from external environment analysis to implementation plan development, when companies or public institutions implement information strategies.


ISP stands for Information Strategy Plan.
Simply put, it is setting strategic goals for a vision in an organization such as a company and establishing a plan to realize that plan.
Therefore, ISP consulting is like drawing a blueprint and creating a business.
You must always explore new things and write corresponding research reports to prove the logic of your research process.
The author emphasizes the importance and purpose of ISP, stating that ISP consultants must be able to identify informational targets needed by developers and design a model for the overall plan. Because the nature of ISP consulting often means there are no right answers, systematic learning of the entire ISP process is all the more crucial.
This book covers the entire process, from the basic definition of ISP, which can be helpful in such a process, to planning activities based on the target of informatization, and the establishment of a future model based on the analysis results, followed by the establishment of an implementation plan.

The importance of ISP consulting work is to design the right plan and present a perfect report.
Because there is no right answer, constructive study is necessary and exposure to as many cases as possible is essential.
The author's practical experience as a current professional will be applicable to practical applications and will enable a systematic understanding of the work processes in the field.
I hope this will be a good strategy to break down the barriers to ISP consulting.

ISP is a project, and “at its core, a project is a temporary endeavor to create value through a unique product, service, or process” (PMI8, definition of a project).
The key point here is that this is a temporary endeavor. ISPs must operate with limited resources (time, money, and personnel), so unnecessary waste must be minimized.
