Life story work recommended to you

There are many biographies of influential people in the world.
But the most important biography for each person is their own life story.
The life stories of the thousands of people I heard in the Life Story class were truly different, unique, and very interesting.
…The driving force behind my ability to work on life stories was the expectation that this course would help with healing.
(Omitted) The first part of the book begins with an observation of how a person's life develops, and then provides a general explanation of the general laws underlying human life development.
The second part addressed the methodological structure of the course, which would enable each individual to work on his or her own life story.

_In “Preface”

The author wrote this article solely based on actual work.
Her experience as a physician is evident throughout and provides the basis for this book.
…her goal is to bring people into awareness of both the bright and dark sides of their lives, so that they can approach both sides and integrate them by recognizing the value of the bad or dark in their lives.

_From “Recommendations”

This book is about the 'life story work' that changed my life.

While reading and translating this book, which is filled with laws and specific descriptions of human life from birth to death, I constantly recalled my own experiences and rediscovered their meaning.
By comparing the characteristics and developmental tasks of each stage of life described in this book to my own life experiences, I was able to understand the meaning of the desires, conflicts, and things I struggled to achieve at that time.
It was a kind of meditative and healing process for me.
The cognitive biographical work covered in this book does not specifically focus on the past influences related to trauma or family history that weigh heavily on our lives.
Rather, it allows us to view our present life not only from birth to death but also within the cosmic and spiritual flow that transcends it, and to pay more positive attention to our future life as it moves toward spiritual maturity and self-fulfillment.
