Tarot and Kabbalah: God's Cosmic Blueprint
Tarot and Kabbalah: God's Cosmic Blueprint
Description
Book Introduction
The reason I included the expression "God's Cosmic Blueprint" in the title of this book is because the Tarot and Kabbalah are systems that properly explain how and for what purpose God created the universe, and why he filled it with countless living beings, including humans.
Tarot and Kabbalah are a life manual and roadmap that also provide answers to the questions of why humans exist (“Where did I come from?”), what humans should do (“Who am I?”), and what humanity’s ultimate destiny is (“Where am I going?”).
Most tarot decks sold today are from the Golden Dawn, an occult group founded in England in the late 19th century.
It is based on the system compiled in (The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn).
Arthur Edward Waite, who created the Rider-Waite-Smith deck, which is familiar even to beginners, and Alistair Crowley, the creator of the Thoth Tarot, which is the focus of this book, also joined the Golden Dawn and acquired knowledge of Tarot and Kabbalah. Dion Fortune, the author of The Mystical Qabalah, which explains the teachings of Kabbalah, which are notoriously difficult, in a relatively easy-to-understand way, also inherited the Golden Dawn tradition.

Thanks to the efforts of these initiates, the secrets of the Tarot and Kabbalah have been made widely known to us, signifying that the consciousness of modern humanity has risen to a level where it can receive this knowledge.
It's no coincidence.
It has been made public because it is knowledge that is essential to humanity at this point in time.
The recent phenomenon of many people around the world becoming interested in tarot is in the same vein.
Although it is currently primarily used as a divination tool, the number of people studying Tarot and Kabbalah from an academic perspective will likely increase in the future as the images depicted on the cards imprint themselves on people's minds and exert influence.
And as Crowley said, they will be the ones who will lead the way, carrying torches and illuminating the path through the dark times that humanity will have to pass through after the advent of the new era.

As can be seen from the title, “Tarot and Kabbalah, God’s Cosmic Blueprint,” this book covers not only the Tarot but also the Kabbalah, the Jewish metaphysical system that forms the basis of the Tarot.
This first volume, published this time, delves into the basic knowledge you need to know before studying Tarot and Kabbalah, the structure of the Kabbalah Tree of Life, the fruits ('Sephirot') that hang from the Tree of Life, and the attributes of the Tarot Minor Arcana cards that correspond to each Sephira.
The explanation of the Tree of Life and the Sephiroth is mainly based on Dion Fortune's Mystical Qabbalah, and the explanation of the Tarot is based on Alistair Crowley's The Book of Thoth, a manual for the Thoth Tarot, which was born from the Golden Dawn tradition and preserves the original teachings while revising some of the content to fit the new era.
Part 2, scheduled for publication in the future, will delve into the Court Cards and Major Arcana, and explore the journey of spiritual growth along the Tree of Life.

Into the book
What is most important is that the Tarot system, based on Kabbalah, exquisitely describes and expresses humanity and the universe.
This book will focus on teaching you the core teachings of the Tarot and Kabbalah, and how to discover and apply them in your daily life to understand the workings of the universe and develop yourself.
--- p.27

If I were to summarize the Tarot in one word, I would say it is 'a scripture that encompasses all of Western esoteric knowledge and records it in pictorial form.'
It is an illustrated version of Kabbalah, which is passed down only through oral tradition and a limited number of written documents.
--- p.27

The ten Sephiroth, which are born sequentially from number 1 through the process of emanation, explain the principles of creation, evolution, movement, destruction, and circulation of the objective universe visible to our eyes, that is, the macrocosm, and correspond to the Minor Arcana of the Tarot, which is divided into four suits based on the four elements of fire, water, air, and earth.
Meanwhile, the 22 branches are a guidebook that guides the growth of humans, or the microcosm, or, to borrow the words of the ancients, a map, navigation, or key needed for humans to return to the Garden of Eden, and correspond to the 22 Hebrew letters and the 22 Major Arcana of the Tarot.
--- p.27

In alchemy, mercury is described as a medium that connects sulfur and salt, which symbolize the active energy (yang) and passive energy (yin) of the universe, respectively, and acts as a mediator and governs communication in the middle.
The 'Magician' of the Tarot Major Arcana, who points to the sky with one hand and the earth with the other while holding a magic wand and acts as a mediator between heaven and earth, is also Mercury, the cosmic mediator who connects gods and humans, heaven and earth, spirit and matter.
--- p.30

American mystical philosopher, Manley --- p.
It is in the same context that Hall compared Mercury to religious figures such as Jesus, Buddha, and Krishna in one of his lectures.
Just as sunlight, which cannot be seen with the naked eye, changes into various colors that humans can perceive when passing through a prism, they are all messengers and teachers of humanity who explain and convey the will and words of God, which are difficult for ordinary people to understand, in a form that we can digest.
--- p.31

Truth has immutable properties, but it can appear differently depending on the perspective.
Moreover, as time passes and human consciousness grows, the veil covering the truth is gradually lifted, creating a virtuous cycle in which consciousness expands further.

--- p.35

The root of all creation, change and magic is ‘thought’.
If you don't like the result, you need to change the cause that brought about that result, and that cause is 'thought'.
This is why we must study and understand the principles of the invisible world beyond the material world, where thoughts reside.
--- p.40

Let all who wish to know the depths of nature listen.
If you don't find what you're looking for within yourself, you won't find it outside yourself.
How can you seek other mysteries if you ignore the mystery of the house in which you dwell? Within you lies the treasure of treasures.
Know thyself.
If you know me, you will know the universe and God.
--- p.41

If you develop the habit of looking at the world and things with the principle of correspondence in mind, your understanding of the providence of the universe will deepen.
Are you struggling with a problem that just won't go away? If it's a big problem, try comparing it to something smaller. If it's a small problem, try comparing it to something larger.
You may find a clue to the solution.
--- p.43

People also have their own unique frequency.
When we meet someone, we may feel good, and sometimes we may feel uncomfortable for some unknown reason.
When I am with someone who resonates with my frequency, my waves are amplified and a synergistic effect is created, making me feel good. When I am with someone who does not, my waves are distorted or canceled out, making me feel uncomfortable.

Publisher's Review
In the spring of 2023, after giving a lecture on the Tarot of Thoth, which I had been studying, to a few acquaintances who were interested in Tarot, I was left with many regrets that I was not able to properly convey the message I wanted to convey.
Above all, I felt that the author's ability to summarize and present knowledge in a way that is easy for the listener to understand, as well as his study of the content itself, were still very lacking.
I also felt the pressure and limitations of having to explain a vast topic in a short period of time.

As I was finishing the lecture and thinking about how to improve the textbook I had painstakingly created, the idea of fleshing out the lecture content and publishing it as a book occurred to me.
The book I started writing like that has now finally come to half its fruition.
Up until Chapter 2, I had progressed relatively easily, but as I was about to embark on Chapter 3, which deals with the Tree of Life in earnest, I felt mentally stressed and stopped writing for a while.
In the meantime, I published two translated books through a publisher, 『A Meditation Journey into Tarot - Secret Lecture Notes from the Original Tarot Master, Paul Foster Case! (2023.11.15)』 and 『Are You Still Searching for 'Me'? - Seven Keys to Unlocking the Spiritual Secrets of Humanity (2024.5.7)』, and resumed writing this book in the summer of 2024.

In order to write this book, I reread Dion Fortune's Mystical Qabalah (1935) and Alistair Crowley's The Book of Thoth (1944), which I had already read several times before. I had the opportunity to study them thoroughly, contemplating deeply, as if meditating, on passages I had not understood, and sometimes pondering over a single sentence for several days.
I once heard an acquaintance who lectures on a variety of topics in the field of Eastern spirituality say, "The person who studies and learns the most through lectures is the lecturer himself." I deeply sympathized with this, and it seems that this principle applies to writing as well.

Ron Milo Duquette, an American occultist and Kabbalah/Tarot master, said, “The Kabbalah and the Tree of Life are not static things, but they are like real trees that receive sunlight and absorb water and continue to grow, and the Kabbalah of ‘me’ and the Kabbalah of ‘you’ can be different.”
Although the basic form of the tree is the same, I took it to mean that each person is growing a tree of life within themselves, with a slightly different size and shape depending on how they care for the tree.
I have tried to explain the Kabbalah, a somewhat difficult and abstract system of knowledge and teachings, as I understand it, and to apply my own experiences and knowledge to further explain it.
This book is far from perfect.
If you look back in 5 or 10 years, you will find things you misunderstood and wrote, and you will see room for improvement here and there.
No, I might be completely overwhelmed by the book right after it goes to print.
But this too is all part of the growth process, and just one of the many instances of missteps on the way up the tree of life.
I would like you to think of this book as a snapshot taken at this very moment in the growth journey of a person named 'Yunmin'.
