Into the book
Christians united with Jesus
Always a target of Satan's attacks
Win the spiritual battle that unfolds before us!

The world hated Jesus for no reason.
People in Jesus' time heaped absurd accusations on Him, but they could not find the reason for their unreasonable anger toward Him in His teachings and actions.
People hated Jesus not because of his 'words and actions' but because of his 'existence'.
On this earth, two spirits, the Spirit of God and the spirit of Satan, are in eternal hostility.
It is the Spirit of Christ within us that brings out the wrath of Satan.
The world doesn't really care what we believe.
They just look at our religious forms indifferently.
But there is one thing they can never tolerate: the presence of God's Spirit within us! Satan will continue to wage war against the Son, and the soul inhabited by the Spirit of Christ will always be a target of Satan's attacks.

--- From the text

When I consider that we humans were created in the image of God, but have fallen into a state of spiritual blindness and death because of sin, I would rather be a serious fool interested in eternal life than an overpaid court jester.
Isn't the court jester's job, at best, to make people laugh and forget about death and the afterlife?
--- p.28

It doesn't seem like there will be any major changes in the short term.
I am not so naive as to believe that my protests will easily change the problems of this sin-ridden and habit-bound world.
I just hope that God's children will understand what I am saying.
Even Christians often have to point out the problems of this world before they become aware of them.

--- p.30

Everyone can teach you something in life.
If you know how to get that teaching.
Some people may be able to answer your questions without you even asking and show the ability to guess your thoughts.
But that doesn't mean you should cling to someone like a parasite.
Do not treat anyone as a master.
No one should be trusted so much unless they were inspired by the Holy Spirit to write the Bible.
Even the greatest saints can make mistakes.

--- p.36

It is undoubtedly true that we are on this earth to do good, but if we do good for show, its meaning is completely destroyed.
We must be careful with acts of mercy, as they can easily lose their meaning.
Otherwise, it would be unmerciful and would hurt the person being helped.

--- p.49

David was a man intoxicated with God.
David gazed at Him with all his heart, and was filled with such joy that he could not help but express it.
While still young, he danced before the Ark of the Covenant with great joy.
When Michal saw this, she was indignant, but God was pleased.

--- p.58

True faith is free from fear by consciously placing God between the object of faith and the object of fear.
The soul that lives in God is surrounded by His presence, so the enemy must first overcome Him before he can approach him.
But it is clear to anyone that the enemy cannot defeat him.

--- p.86

“All good things contain danger.
“Even the best things can become the worst if they are not followed by moderation, reflection, and direction.”
--- p.110

Seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness.
Seek right relationships between yourself and your neighbor through Jesus Christ.
With a pious heart, begin to correct your behavior.
Exalt God, subdue the flesh, and simplify your life.
Take up your cross.
And learn from Jesus Christ how to die to this world.
Then He will exalt you at the right time.

--- p.119

None of us should think that we have seen the whole truth.
Eyes that can see all truth simultaneously without distortion are not found in this fallen human world.

--- p.159

The church must be willing to criticize itself harshly and to correct itself.
We must always seek God with all our might and with a repentant heart.
We must live a life that is in accordance with God's will by examining our lives and actions in light of the Bible.

--- p.179

It is important to remember that all our days are given to us purely by God's mercy.
All our days are not earned by our own efforts, nor are they earned by our own merits.
But I fear that we don't really appreciate their value.

--- p.188

While it is always right to obey God's word, it is only good to obey religious leaders when they have proven themselves worthy of leadership.
What everyone should know is that serving as a leader in the church of Christ is a spiritual thing.

--- p.210

The sacred duty to imitate Christ is given to each of us.
There must be people who can be role models that this generation of Christians can respect and be enthusiastic about.
Being an example is not the first reason to pursue holiness, but it is certainly a powerful motivation for pursuing it.
--- p.226

Publisher's Review
Hold on to the word of truth
Win the battle of the spirit every moment!

The times we live in are filled with the subtle whispers of Satan.
And we fall for those subtle whispers too easily.
We often choose worldly gains over biblical truth, and we often pursue pleasure over living according to the words of Christ.
So, in spiritual battles, we often fall for Satan's illusions.
Tozer advises us to live a life of truth.
He mentions common issues in our lives, such as financial problems and church problems, and says that we must overcome these issues spiritually.
As we read Tozer's counsel, we should take time to reflect on whether our faith truly follows the truth and whether we have compromised with the world.
Don't be caught up in immediate pleasures and enjoyment! Only when we focus on His voice and live a life of truth will we truly be victorious in the spiritual battle.
