The documentary film "Supersonic," released in 2016, brought back memories of Knebworth in 1996.
In 2014, about five years after Oasis broke up, Noel Gallagher visited the home of his longtime friend, graphic designer Simon Halfon.
Over a cup of tea, Noel proposed making a documentary to commemorate the upcoming 20th anniversary of the 1996 Knebworth concert.
Halpon accepted immediately and was able to assemble a talented production team, but one major hurdle remained before the project could be completed.
It was a matter of persuading Liam Gallagher, the frontman of Oasis.
Liam was positive about the film's production, but soon asked the direct question, "Who is the hero and who is the villain?"
This question prompted Halpon to decide to portray the relationship between the two brothers and the social phenomenon they created as they were in the film.
The film "Supersonic," which honestly captures the voices of the people around Noel and Liam, as well as the members of Oasis, their families, friends, and engineers, created a huge stir among music fans and critics alike upon its release in 2016.
