Biblical Counseling and God's Perspective
Description
Book Introduction
The 'divine narrative approach' can be said to be a practice of faith in the resilience and possibility that exists beyond the despairing reality.
Pastors and counselors believe that even if a client's current situation seems hopeless, there are positive aspects and resilience left by God in their lives, and they work with the client to create a "story of healing and recovery."
Just as faith means hoping for the impossible (Romans 4:18; Hebrews 11:1), biblical counseling maintains the belief that God's goodness mysteriously exists even in the lives of clients who seem to be filled with problems, and that when this is wisely woven together, all things work together for good.
Therefore, approaching the story from God's perspective awakens and expands the potential and abilities that exist within believers.
When we look at our lives from God's perspective and create a new story to confront our problems, we can break free from the shackles of problems and live a new life.

Into the book
This book has the following three characteristics that distinguish it from other works on biblical counseling.
First, I wanted to clearly present the position of biblical counseling on the core issues of Christian counseling within the context of Christian counseling as a whole.
The main issues discussed in Christian counseling are human understanding, the sufficiency of the Bible, and its relationship to psychology.
Until now, biblical counseling has focused on presenting a position on such topics.
However, this book explains the significance and importance of these issues in the context of Christian counseling as a whole, and clearly presents the position of biblical counseling by comparing it with other Christian counseling schools, such as mainstream pastoral counseling and integrationist positions.
