Description
Book Introduction
Teachers are also someone's children and parents.
Korea's first calendar for teachers

Even if you are a teacher, you cannot know all 365 days of the year.
Teachers also have happy days and difficult days, and there are more times when they are unable to solve life's homework.
When I was young, I thought teachers could do everything well.
However, the work of teachers, such as school administrative work and parent counseling, goes beyond what they must endure simply because they are 'teachers.'
Nevertheless, each teacher has his or her own dream and continues to guard the classroom today.

The Teacher Positive Calendar was designed to comfort and encourage teachers living in this era.
The author, Kim Seonghwan, has been a teacher for 20 years.
He is a full member of the Positive Discipline Association and the first positive discipline trainer in Korea.

The author, who first introduced Jane Nelson and Lin Lot, experts in positive discipline and encouragement counseling, to Korea, believed that what teachers need right now is comfort and courage, and wrote 365 articles to be included in the calendar.

The Teacher's Positive Calendar consists of 365 passages that encourage teachers with the power of positivity and 365 famous paintings that provide comfort.
Even on days when it seems like no one in the world is on my side, these are the words and famous paintings that stand by the teacher.
You can't be happy every day of the year 365 days a year.
There are days when things don't work out, and there are days when I'm sad.

Publisher's Review
365 days of comfort and courage, a time of rest and recovery

Things don't always go as planned.
Just like the four seasons of spring, summer, fall, and winter, the scenery that unfolds in the world changes and the temperature of emotions varies.
We all know that there are happy days and sad days, but when we go through difficult times, we tend to only see the negative emotions and miss out on other aspects of life.

《Teacher's Positive Calendar》 contains articles that will help you spend such days.
The author, Kim Seonghwan, is currently a teacher at Yangpyeong Elementary School.
I understand the environment teachers face better than anyone else.
So, from a teacher's perspective, every single sentence in the calendar is bound to resonate with them.
Above all, from the teacher's perspective, it contains writing that is on the teacher's side, giving them a time of comfort and courage.

Sometimes teachers also impart knowledge about positive discipline to help them teach children.
The author, an authoritative expert in the field of positive discipline, was the first to introduce Jane Nelson and Lin Lott to Korea and even went to the United States to train them.
It also includes helpful articles on positive discipline, including how to help children develop good beliefs, how to deal with bad behavior, how to handle parental complaints, and how to provide proper encouragement.

The Teacher's Positive Calendar contains 365 famous paintings.
The curation was conducted by docent Lee Ji-an.
It contains the heart of a docent who communicates and provides comfort through art commentary at an art museum and through art therapy at a hospital.
We curated the content with the intention of helping teachers by expanding the scope of ‘Art Therapy through Appreciating Masterpieces’ and ‘Social Art Prescription.’
The paintings, which reflect the four seasons, the 365 days of daily life, and the diverse colors of emotions, resonate with all the hearts we experience in our daily lives and offer a time of comfort, rest, and recovery.

365 days a year, kept on the desk and seen every day
Times of encouragement, wisdom, and color

When we are busy, we often pass by many landscapes.
In spring, the cherry blossoms bloom and fall, in summer, the shade under the hot sun passes by, in autumn, the falling of dry leaves passes by, and in winter, the warm heart of a person passes by.

This diary captures the days, landscapes, and words that would otherwise pass by.
The 365 masterpieces left on canvas by masters such as Paul Klee, Camille Pissarro, Van Gogh, Edgar Degas, and Monck become a single work of art the moment they are placed on a desk, enriching the hearts of teachers.
It is a power that only famous paintings, which have brought peace to people's hearts for centuries, can provide.

It is difficult to direct emotions that change every day in the direction you want.
The author says:
“If it were easy, life would be more abundant than it is now, but because it’s difficult, goals are created, plans are created, and people and love are born.” This calendar gives us the strength to get through those difficult days together.

The author believes that "the first step in choosing life depends on what kind of thoughts you have. Positive thoughts make people healthy and allow them to enjoy the world without reacting to it."
The author's life philosophy is contained in "Teacher's Positive Calendar."

We can't have happy days every day, but we can at least think positive thoughts every day.
It can be difficult.
But that's okay.
《Teacher's Positive Calendar》 is a perpetual calendar.
I can guard the teacher's desk next year, and the year after that.
The author says:

“I hope that next year, when I see the writings and paintings I saw this year, it will be a happier day.
If you are happy now, I hope you will be even happier next year.”
