Into the book
I've seen children chatting and having fun while passing by a classroom.
I looked closely to see what was so fun, and the children were surrounded by a board game with bright eyes and lively faces.
It was a sight I rarely saw during regular class hours.
For children, board games are exciting and fun, and they are a form of play that keeps them coming back to their thoughts and wanting to play again and again.

Seeing that, I thought, 'Kids want their class time to be as fun as playing board games.'
And soon I had a clear realization.
"Let's bring board games into class! If we can spice up the children's favorite board games with a learning twist and use them as teaching tools, we can create a class that satisfies both the children and the teacher." That's how I began incorporating board games into my classes.

We started using board games in class and soon saw changes in the children.
The children became interested in learning and began to actively participate in class.
Board games are the wizards who brought about this magical change.
He is a storyteller who develops thinking and imagination, and a problem solver who democratically and wisely resolves dilemmas.
It is the kind courage that allows me to be the first to apologize to a friend who has become awkward due to a minor misunderstanding, and it is a strong ally that allows me to effectively understand and express my thoughts and feelings.

Publisher's Review
A reasonable choice for today's kids

Any teacher always thinks about how they can make their classes a little better.
The authors suggest 'board games' as the answer to this problem.
The authors are all teachers affiliated with the National Board Game Teachers Network, and they have compiled in one book the exciting lessons they have created with their students in their respective classrooms.

The authors of this book say that board games are easy for anyone to play and can be effectively used in any class, and by introducing classes that actually used board games, they break the prejudice that board games are nothing more than play.
To increase accessibility to board games, we have provided basic information and rules for various board games, and have also made it possible to view board game manual videos via QR codes.

A comprehensive board game lesson guide for all subjects, ready for immediate use in class.

This book systematically and specifically contains board game utilization methods that teachers can immediately apply to their classes.
Not only does it clearly present everything from learning objectives to class topic settings and detailed structure according to the flow of the class, it also includes actual class conversations between teachers and students to help make classes easier to conduct.

First, through 'Getting Familiar with Board Games', we introduce board games to be used in class, and through 'Designing Classes with Board Games', we guide students on the content and flow of the class, present the key content of the class and the learning objectives in connection with it, and clearly organize specific activities according to the class topic.

We have made the class more informative by providing class progress notes, class tips, and photos of actual activities.
In addition, through ‘Applying Board Games to Classes’, we provided guidance on how to apply and utilize the board game to other subjects, class topics, and learning content.
With this one book, anyone can easily create a class using board games tailored to the characteristics of each subject.

Plenty of vivid teaching know-how from teachers in the National Board Game Teachers Network

This book provides teaching know-how to make each activity more successful by providing 'activity tips' for each activity.
Additionally, through 'Into the Vivid Class', you can see vivid class reviews by teachers who have actually taught the class, for each activity.
By including students' reactions and precautions during class, we have made it easy to deal with unexpected situations that may arise during class.

And at the end of each section, we presented a class discussion by teachers on the topic of board games through ‘Teacher Talk Talk’.
This conversation includes tips on using board games, thoughts on them, lesson ideas, as well as recommendations and words of encouragement for fellow teachers.
Any teacher who has heard from fellow teachers that they were able to personally experience the effects of board games while conducting classes and from children that they wish they could use board games in class every day will quickly want to teach board games to their children.
