Description
Book Introduction
The empty boat is where Jesus can come in and sit.
It is a space of blessings

Highly recommended by Pastor Lim Hyeon-su, Kang Jun-min, Kim Byeong-sam, Lee Dong-won, Lee Chan-su, Jo Jeong-min, Choi Byeong-rak, and Han Hong!

This is the first book by Pastor Noh Hee-song, the third pastor of Canada's Great Light Church.
However, the background to the publication of this book is unique.
This is because it is related to Pastor Lim Hyeon-su, who was once detained in North Korea and drew the world's attention.
Pastor Noh Hee-song is a pastor who was in charge of English-speaking ministry at Geunbit Church.
Then, in 2014, less than two months after becoming the senior pastor of a church that also encompassed the Korean-speaking world, Pastor Lim Hyeon-su was detained in North Korea.
This book is the word of comfort I received from sharing it with the members of the Great Light Church when I lived in prayer, hoping only for God's guidance in a situation with no end in sight.
The author likes Peter.
Because he is a person who lived his entire life under the guidance of the Lord.
The author explains that being led means “being used according to the Lord’s guidance, not according to one’s own desires,” and says that to receive God’s guidance, one must be an “empty boat.”
They say that carrying Jesus on my empty boat and living under His guidance is the happiest and safest life.
In fact, the author has lived and is living most of his life under the guidance of the Lord.
These testimonies and meditations, found throughout this book, guide us on how to live our lives under God's guidance.
Through this book, I hope to meet Jesus, who calls and leads us, just as He did to the author and Peter.

Into the book
The greatest miracle in the world is to personally meet Jesus Christ and experience the work of being born again.
I have experienced many such miracles while serving as a pastor.
At the same time, we experience a miracle that is even more amazing.
Even though I met Jesus, I didn't change.
There are people who outwardly live a life of faith diligently, but their relationships at home and at church are not smooth and they clash with each other.
I have also seen believers who are so fixated on outward changes that they fail to realize that they are becoming sick on the inside.
Ultimately, if you do not acknowledge God's place deep within you, it is natural that disappointment will come.

Why did the Lord choose to board Peter's boat? Of course, the Lord had already chosen Peter.
From another perspective, we see in the Bible that Peter's boat was empty.
I asked myself, 'What if Peter's boat had been full of fish?'
Shouldn't they have quickly cleaned and delivered the fresh fish to the wholesaler? They wouldn't have even looked at Jesus and said, "Jesus, I'm sorry! I have to go before the fish spoils."
Rather, Peter's empty boat becomes a blessed space where Jesus can enter and sit.
Look at your empty stomach with eyes of faith.
The Lord is the one who comes to your empty stomach.

Deep water is where you experience failure in relationships and failure in work.
We become afraid of failing or being rejected once.
I'm reluctant to try again.
But to recover from failure, you have to go back in.
Like Peter, who failed the night before by relying on his own experience and skills, but this time he relied on the Word and went back in with Jesus.
Only by going back in can we experience deep healing.

I, too, have had to go through rough times since I began my ministry at Big Light Church.
When Pastor Lim Hyeon-su, who had left for North Korea for two weeks in January of the first year of the leadership succession, did not return on time, I simply thought that the mission schedule had changed.
…I was really at a loss as to what to do.
As a church leader, I had to somehow respond to and resolve this situation.
Pastoral work is not easy even when it is smooth, but it felt like a storm had come.
I prayed earnestly that the Lord would come to me walking on the water.
…all those moments were also times of meeting Jesus walking on water.
I felt God's hidden intention to raise our faith to a level where we could overcome difficult circumstances like storms.
In this way, the deepening of faith and the leap to greater heights come through storms.
