Parents who know their children's grace
Description
Book Introduction
The problem with parents is not that they don't love, it's that they are ignorant!
Many parents say they love their children, but they live with conflicts and unresolved relationships with their children.
I have a burning desire to raise my children properly as much as I love them, but things don't go as planned.
The author tells these parents that love alone is not enough to successfully educate their children.
It is not true that loving your children alone will solve all your problems.
Most parents love their children, but they are ignorant about their children's education and love.
They are ignorant of their children's hearts and minds and do not know how to deal with them.
So you have to study and train.
This book is a revised edition of “Parents Who Know the Grace of Their Children,” published in 2001, and is filled with the author’s experiences and insights gained while raising three sons as a pastor and father.
If you learn and practice the attitude parents should have and the most important principles of child education through this book, you will be able to love your children properly.

Into the book
Here we see a simple but very important fact.
Without family, Eden is meaningless, and family is more important than Eden.
Eden can only be Eden if there is a family.
It is true.
Family is that important.
--- p.27
Most parents don't pay much attention to their children's posture when dealing with them.
So, in many cases, parents' educational attitudes are wrong.
I believe that the main reason why many parents, despite their unimaginable dedication, fail to educate their children is precisely this wrong educational attitude.
--- p.40
Many children know the grace of their parents.
But most parents do not know their children's grace.
When I recognized my child's grace, my child thought of his parents' grace.
We should not forcefully encourage filial piety by only emphasizing the grace of parents.
That method doesn't work.
--- p.49
The ability to feel sorry for one's own shortcomings is a very important attitude for raising children.
Once you have that attitude, education is possible for anyone, anytime, anywhere.
Going one step further, we need to have the heart to honestly apologize for our mistakes.
--- p.66
It takes effort to acknowledge and understand what is different from us.
If it really goes against the principles and the truth, then it shouldn't be done, but if it doesn't, then we should understand and compromise.
If adults and parents are willing to understand and make concessions on such trivial matters, children and young people will also be willing to understand and make concessions to their parents and adults.
--- p.79
What children hate most is seeing their fathers become cowards.
I feel embarrassed.
It is no exaggeration to say that if a father is seen as cowardly and lacking in courage by his children, that is the end of his education.
You will never have the educational authority to teach your children.
--- p.90
You might be able to get a position and money through trickery and ingenuity.
However, the important educational authority of parents cannot be obtained.
Therefore, to become a parent who can educate children, you must live diligently and work hard without worrying about even the smallest things.
You must become a parent who is recognized for your sincerity.
--- p.102
To successfully raise children, it is not enough to simply love them.
In addition to having a loving heart, you must have a specific and perfect blueprint.
You must be clear about your goals and objectives for raising your children.
And we must make specific efforts and pray to achieve that goal and purpose.
--- p.121
There are things parents must do to instill diligence and honesty in their children.
It is a matter of deeply loving children.
Parental love develops in children a fundamental sense of trust in the world, people, and God.
Basic trust helps children develop autonomy.
--- p.152
We must help our children develop intimacy.
That is the goal that must be taught.
We must not become foolish parents who instill in our children a sense of unnecessary competition, leading them to live a life of cruelty where they do not regard others as friends, but rather see everyone as competitors and even enemies.
--- p.172~173
It is difficult to find true courage in life in a person who cannot live an honest life of tithing because of his greed for material things.
If you want your children to be truly courageous, you must train them to live an honest life of tithing.
--- p.194
However, many children are hurt and suffer because of their parents' rudeness.
You need to realize that your children are being harmed because of that hurt and pain.
--- p.207
The last thing God created was the family.
By creating Eve for Adam and Adam for Eve, God created the family.
God's most precious creation is not Eden, but the family.
Without family, Eden is meaningless, and family is more important than Eden.
Eden can only be Eden if there is a family.
It is true.
Family is that important.

Publisher's Review
Ignorant love for one's children kills them!
To love properly, you must study how to love your children.
There are probably no parents in the world who do not love their children.
Parents do not even spare their own lives for their children.
That much parents love their children.
However, I think that if there is anyone who causes the most pain to children, it is probably their parents.
There are many children who are happy because of their parents.
But I think there are surprisingly many more children in this world who suffer because of their parents.
Why do parents, despite their love for their children, inflict unwanted pain and unhappiness on them? It's because they lack knowledge and wisdom.
Because love without knowledge sometimes catches people alive.
Love alone is not enough.
If you really love something, you have to study it.
You have to learn how to love.
You have to learn about the person you love.
Ignorant love often leads to rude love.
And such love is bound to deeply hurt the one who loves.
If parents truly love their children, they should study child education and love for their children.
