“If we do not make our children disciples of Jesus,
The world will make our children its disciples!”

The Korean church experienced a remarkable revival.
But that revival flame is fading.
The reason is that the fire of the Holy Spirit poured out on parents is not passed on to their children.
It is the responsibility of parents, older generations, and pastors that the spirituality that God gave us as parents is not passed on to our children in the same way.
And at the center of that responsibility lies the church.
The church must change.
If the church does not change, there is no more hope.
And at the center of church change, worship must change more than anything else.

The current reality of the Korean church is dire.
The number of churches and their members is decreasing, and they are being criticized here and there.
Most believers are concerned about the Korean church, but there is no clear alternative, just words.
I don't know what to do.
But here is a very powerful alternative.
It is an integrated worship service.
An integrated worship service for three generations can be a powerful alternative to revitalize the Korean church and the next generation.

To save the Korean church, we must nurture the next generation as powerful disciples of Christ.
If we as parents do not raise our children as disciples of Jesus, this world will raise our children as disciples with its worldly values.
If our children are not armed with the Word every week, the world's culture will swallow them up.

It is not enough to just have fun in children's worship.
Children too should worship with the strong presence of the Holy Spirit.
Otherwise, our children may face the miserable reality of abandoning their faith and leaving the church after 12 years of Sunday school.
No, that line is already continuing.
That is why we must raise our children to be powerful soldiers of Christ and pass on the legacy of faith.
The starting point is the integrated worship service.

This book shares the author's diverse expertise gained through his long experience in conducting integrated worship services.
It conveys accumulated, living experiences on why we should hold integrated worship services, how to hold them, and what effects integrated worship has.

▶ Special Feature: Three Representative Sermons from the Integrated Worship Service to Save the Next Generation

Into the book
If you gather all the children together and make them dance and play games, they will remain children.
But if children are allowed to gather with adults to sing praises and listen to sermons, they will mature spiritually very quickly.
Praise is not a game or a fun activity.
Praise is to exalt God with all your heart and with all your soul.
Praise is my humility before Him.
Praise is my soul responding to Him.

A sermon is not a show to be enjoyed with the eyes or to hear an interesting story.
A sermon is the proclamation of the living word of God.
School education divided students into grades because it was believed that dividing students into grades would be effective.
Worship is not about imparting knowledge.
Worship is not about imparting knowledge.
Worship is offering our whole person and heart to God.
In the Old Testament, when offering sacrifices to God, there was no worship according to age.
When they offered sacrifices, the whole family offered sacrifices together.
Worshiping God has nothing to do with age.
---From "Integrated Worship Spiritually Maturates the Next Generation"

Of course, it is not easy at first for three generations to gather together and hold an integrated worship service.
When we first suggested that we worship with children at our church, the first people to object were the children's department teachers.
'Pastor, children cannot concentrate for more than 15 minutes.' So, we started with fifth graders.
Only students in the 5th grade and above were allowed to worship with their parents.
The following year, the fourth graders were also invited to worship with the adults.
Every year, the grade was lowered by one grade.
There was even a child who lay face down for the entire hour-long service.

The child also felt challenged and changed after seeing his older brothers, who were a year older than him, worshipping quietly and respectfully.
Later, all elementary school students above first grade began to worship together.
The rule was that children had to sit with their parents.
One day, on Children's Sunday in the first week of May, I had the children sit together.
It was a really difficult service because of all the noise.
After that, we always had the principle of sitting with our parents and worshipping together.
---From "Parents Must Be Present at Their Children's Worship"

At our church, we worship together as a family every week, so it's very easy and natural to hold family worship services.
Praise can be sung by both children and adults every Sunday.
You can read the Bible by going through each chapter and verse, and then share the words that have blessed you.
Because each person has different Bible verses that bring them grace, they have a positive influence on each other.
There is no need to preach or prepare anything special.
Because the word itself gives strength and benefit to the whole family.

This kind of sharing of the word of God is something that children are used to doing since they share the Sunday sermon at departmental meetings after the regular Sunday service, and parents also have time to share the Sunday sermon at cell meetings every week, so the whole family can share the word of the Bible.
After the sermon, we pray together.
Each person can suggest a topic for intercessory prayer.
It is time to honestly reveal your pain.
---From "Easy to Have Family Worship"

We know that when it comes to hearing a word, the realm of application is more important than the realm of understanding.
Most adults stay in the realm of understanding.
But children go beyond understanding to applying.
Parents who try to end things with understanding also begin to change after seeing their children.
Worshiping with children is stimulating for everyone.

This stimulation has a positive influence not only on the congregational worship on Sunday but also on the worship of one's life.
Children serve as watchmen (God's eyes) to their parents.
This week, I heard from the pastor that we should not be angry, and we cried and prayed together.
And you may have found yourself getting angry easily and without thinking during the week.
But when children see this, they react immediately.
Ultimately, children become our watchdogs who check whether we are living up to our words or not.
