Into the book
What kind of being is a fetus in a mother's womb? Because a fetus in the womb has not yet been born and registered, it is not a citizen of the Republic of Korea.
Does that mean that a fetus has no rights? … In principle, a fetus before birth cannot yet enjoy the rights that a full-fledged individual can enjoy, except for the right to life.
Because they cannot exercise their rights on their own.
However, in order to protect the growth of the fetus and its rights after birth, our civil law recognizes certain rights as exceptions for the fetus.
An unborn fetus has the right to inherit, to receive legacies, to receive pensions and various other compensations.

--- From "The Weight of All Life is Equal"

An 18 year old user created his/her own ID.
And he made the payment using his own bank account.
…If that amount is in the tens of thousands of won range, it is easily enough for a high school student to afford as allowance.
In that case, it is considered a normal contract because it is within the scope of the capacity of a person with limited capacity to act, and it is stated that it cannot be cancelled.
But if the amount is several million won, it would be difficult to see it as being purchased with regular allowance.
In that case, cancellation is possible.
However, in order to purchase something with such a large amount of money, parental consent is required, and if you pretend to give consent (through cell phone authentication, etc.), it is stated that cancellation is not possible.

Today's young people face structural problems that are difficult to overcome through individual effort alone, making it more difficult than ever to enter society.
Because of this, today's youth are sometimes referred to as the 'N-po Generation', youth who have given up on their dreams.
The 'N-po Generation' has evolved from the 3-po generation, which means giving up on dating, marriage, and childbirth, to the 5-po generation, which includes giving up on 'interpersonal relationships' and 'owning a home', and these 5-po generations have continued to the 7-po generation, which includes giving up on 'dreams' and 'hope', and the 9-po generation, which includes giving up on 'health' and 'appearance'.
Youth issues are serious because they are not limited to individual youth problems that arise during a specific life cycle, but rather lead to a loss of self-esteem for the entire youth generation, which in turn leads to a weakening of social sustainability and thus expands into problems for our society.
--- From "To the youth in N-po, a dream"

Why is women's career breaks a problem? First, because they waste labor.
The National Assembly Budget Office (2014) announced that the social cost loss due to women's career interruptions amounted to 195 trillion won between 2000 and 2013.
In a country with a low birth rate and an aging population, women's low participation in economic activities can be a factor hindering the development of the national economy.
…The results of the ‘Work-Family Balance Survey’ published by the Ministry of Employment and Labor in 2017 are surprising.
According to a survey of human resources managers at 5,000 businesses with five or more employees, 86.6% of businesses were aware of the 90-day maternity leave system before and after childbirth, but only 9.6% utilized it.

--- From "What do you mean 'working woman'? Mom wants to work too!"

A motion to dismiss is when a defendant disagrees with the prosecution's evidence when the judge asks the defendant before a criminal trial, "Do you agree with the prosecution's evidence?"
You should never answer “yes” hastily.
…If there was an illegal investigation, such as arresting you without a warrant or failing to inform you of your right to remain silent during the arrest process, you should argue that the suspect interrogation records based on this are illegal evidence and should not be used as evidence.
The same goes for other pieces of evidence.
You must clearly understand and assert that all illegally collected evidence, such as the statement of a witness who gave false statements after receiving money, or your notebook taken without a warrant, cannot be used by the prosecutor in trial.
--- From "Remember 'Human Rights' Even When Suspected of Being a Criminal (Wise Criminal Case Preparation Plan)"

One of the fundamental reasons for the existence of an inheritance tax is that inherited property is unearned income obtained without labor.
As more and more people enjoy stable lives without working, the motivation of those who need to work to survive will inevitably decline, and as mobility between social classes becomes more difficult, it will be difficult for the economy to remain vibrant in the long term.
Capitalist society is an economic system that recognizes individual private property, but at the same time, it is an economic system that provides everyone with the opportunity to develop their abilities and talents through fair competition.
However, if the inheritance of wealth occurs without any regulation, the capitalist economy loses a great driving force for growth.

Publisher's Review
From the time a human is born, to the time they grow up, to the time they become adults, to the time they go out into the world, to the time they become old.
We explore various social issues that we face at each stage of life.

What is the purpose of studying "social studies"? It's not simply about understanding knowledge related to social phenomena.
The purpose of social studies at school is to help individuals cultivate their own lives and learn how to live together with others, thereby creating a better society.
However, despite its close connection to our lives, sometimes the subject of 'social studies' does not feel very close to my life.

“The Whole World is a Social Studies Textbook” deals with ‘real social issues’ that are not taught in the classroom.
This book presents the real-world 'social problems' that teachers from the National Social Studies Teachers Association want to inform about, according to the human life cycle.
This book addresses the challenges that young people have faced during childhood and adolescence, as well as the various social issues they will face in their adolescence, middle age, and old age.
These include issues of corporal punishment and discipline, economic activities of minors, sexuality of teenagers, problems that may arise while finding a job and working, housing issues, problems that may arise when involved in criminal cases, difficulties in living as one gets older or, conversely, problems that may arise when inheriting, and problems of life in old age when physical abilities are significantly reduced.
This book provides specific and realistic advice on the various social situations that can arise as a human being is born into this world, along with information on what rights one should be guaranteed and what systems and laws one should properly understand and protect.

If a young person reading this book is worried about how to live in the future, they will be able to prepare by imagining, "What should I do if this situation arises?"
It also presents not only the direction in which our individual lives should take, but also the issues we must consider and resolve to create a society where everyone is happy.
This book will provide an opportunity to connect the many problems we face with society, examine them more broadly and deeply, interpret them from a human rights perspective, and discuss what efforts we can make to create a better society.
