This is because spreading more magic to more people and thereby making the human world a better place to live in increases your reputation as a witch.
There is even an annual event called the 'Seven Witches Tournament', where they compete fiercely to become the best witch...

Into the book
“I have a stomachache in the middle of the night.”
Marie said something like that.

“My stomach hurts.
“Is it like that every night?”
"yes."
“Do you have any idea what’s going on?”
“I guess it’s going to happen…….”
“For example, if you always eat a lot for dinner or if you always get sick after eating fish.
Anything is fine.
“I mean, I think, ‘Maybe this could be the cause?’”
Marie thought for a moment and then answered:

“There’s something I’ve started eating recently.”
“What is that?”
“It’s paper.”
“Paper? You mean the paper used to make notebooks?”
"yes.
There is a spell.
They say that if you write down the things you dislike about yourself on a notepad before going to bed and swallow it, those things you dislike will disappear.”
--- p.10~11

“You wrote a book about witchcraft?”
He spoke while maintaining a fighting stance.

"That's a pretty good idea, isn't it? No one would ever think a real witch would be the author.
“The publishing company staff are very pleased that the magic book I wrote has been well-received.”
“As a writer, I don’t think it’s bad to distribute witchcraft in itself.
However, that also varies depending on the content.”
“Are you dissatisfied with the content of the spell I created?”
"okay."
“I see, I understand.
“Then let’s make a decision quickly.”
“Yeah, let’s do that.”
The moon, hidden between the clouds, slowly revealed its face.

The moonlight shines on me and the teacher I hate so much.

In this day and age, a busty underclassman happens to pass by, and the boys who happen to be holding brooms do it just as a joke?
As I was quickly thinking, 'What should I check first?', Hinako gave me some additional explanations.

“It’s not the first time.
Sometimes, things like this happen.
Sometimes, a passing salaryman suddenly says, "You have amazing breasts!" ... or something like that.
Or just staring at my chest without saying anything.
But since this is the first time something like this has happened at school, it is quite… … .”
“Was it a shock?”
“Seriously,” Hinako nods.

When I noticed Hinako looking at my chest and said, “It’s a little small,” a faint smile appeared on her face.

“I envy you.
“That’s good enough.”
--- p.31

“Right? Something seems off.”
“That’s strange.”
As I answered like that, I thought about the humiliation that Abe Hinako had suffered.

There was something strange about that too.

From the perspective of the person who did the action, it may have been just a joke.
So I just let it go without a second thought.
Because they would never think that it could be an experience where the victim's dignity as a woman is trampled upon.

“So? What happened after that? There’s no way you could have just quietly backed off, right?”
“Of course, I poured out a lot of my energy to the editor and his boss.
He threatened that if they didn't improve, he wouldn't publish a book with them again.
Even though it looks like this, Ako Iwaki is doing pretty well.”
The editor in question who sexually harassed her was transferred to another department, and another male editor reportedly received a stern warning.

--- p.36~37

You can create an original spell without even realizing it (which is by no means impossible), and quite naturally brush away the falling sparks, or even obtain something you think, 'I absolutely must have this!'

The problem is that the child does not like reading books.

What a non-witch needs to create their own spells.
It is knowledge, after all.
Next is imagination.

Children who enjoy reading have an overwhelming advantage because reading is a way to get both of these things at once.

For that reason, I chose to become a health teacher as my career in the human world.

The health teacher was… …good.
I could meet any number of students who needed magic.
Even if the student is aware that he or she needs it, or not.

Today again, a knock on the door rang out at the health room at our Obana First Middle School.

Publisher's Review
Popular Japanese author Hirochika Ishikawa
The reality of teenage girls is brought to light in its raw form!

In a world filled with all kinds of sorcery and temptation,

A fantasy witch who fights against 'discomfort' and realizes justice.

Mr. Min, who works at Obana First Middle School, is an ordinary health teacher.
Her daily routine includes caring for children who come in injured from the playground, those with headaches or indigestion, and even those who pretend to be sick and avoid class.
When you spend time with students, it's common to hear about their lifestyle habits, concerns, and worries about their relationships with friends. That's why Ms. Min thinks she made the right choice to work as a health teacher.
That's because she is actually a witch who has secretly infiltrated the human world.

In fact, there are many other witches living in the human world besides Teacher Min, and that is to spread witchcraft in the human world.
Witches' reputations increase when they invent and publish magic that humans need and when the world becomes a better place to live through that magic.
Witches whose reputations rise can ascend to the 'Seven Witches', a position that only the best witches can attain, so all witches have no choice but to work hard to produce magic.

As a teacher working in the health center, Ms. Min counsels and helps the world's most vulnerable teenage girls overcome their difficulties. As a witch, she creates spells to help students overcome the hardships of reality.
But one day, a rival witch appears in front of Mr. Min, and a duel between the witches ensues… … .
What will happen to Mr. Min's future?

A female teenager,
A novel for those who seem to be the weakest, but are actually the strongest.

"The Infirmary Needs a Witch" is a full-fledged fantasy novel that begins with the comical yet lively subject of a witch, and then embraces the realities of vulnerable female teenagers and the heavy subject of gender discrimination.
This work is structured in an omnibus format, with different female students consulting with the main character, a school nurse, about their individual concerns.
It addresses head-on the real-life struggles and difficulties faced by young women, from concerns about their appearance to relationships with friends, conflicts with parents, gender discrimination, and sexual harassment.
The protagonist, a health teacher and a 'witch', provides very delicate and serious counseling to the students while recommending her own magic spells to them. In the process of practicing the magic spells, the students undergo inner changes and grow into mature women.

It deals with universal women's issues that even our youth can relate to, and it portrays potentially heavy topics in a way that anyone can relate to through an entertaining setting.
In addition to the main character, Ms. Min, the work features many fellow witches who produce magic, and they compete and duel with each other to create more and better magic.
And their magic is always focused on saving young, weak girls.
Besides, sometimes he saves the boys.

In that sense, this story is about a woman becoming a hero of darkness and saving other women, everyone.
In this work, the witches are the ones who show how teenage girls, who seem to be the most fragile and vulnerable group, can become strong and confident on their own.
Although they live in secrecy, they have a profound impact on strengthening solidarity among women and changing the way girls view the world.
I sincerely hope that more readers, regardless of gender, will read this work and gain new courage to overcome their inner struggles, develop tolerance for the weak, and learn how to live properly as mature citizens of the future.
